By Alexandra Marquez

Reps. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., and Ro Khanna, D-Calif., who are working together to push the Trump administration to release federal files related to Jeffrey Epstein, disagreed Sunday over whether President Donald Trump should pardon Epstein’s longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell.

Massie told NBC News’ “Meet the Press” during a joint interview with Khanna that “whatever they need to do to compel [Maxwell’s] testimony, as long as it’s truthful, I would be in favor of.”

Khanna, on the other hand, said, “No, I don’t” believe that Maxwell should be pardoned or have her sentence commuted and that he is “concerned” that she met with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche last week.

“Look, I agree with Congressman Massie that she should testify, but she’s been indicted twice on perjury. This is why we need the files,” Khanna added.

Maxwell, a longtime associate of Epstein’s, was convicted of federal sex trafficking charges in 2021. That same year, she was accused of making multiple false statements under oath. Blanche interviewed Maxwell over two days last week amid growing calls for the Trump administration to release any unclassified files related to Epstein. ...

Medvedev, now the deputy chairman of the Security Council of Russia, cautioned that Trump’s announcement Monday that Russia must end the conflict with Ukraine in 10 to 12 days would not end well for the U.S.

"Trump's playing the ultimatum game with Russia: 50 days or 10… He should remember 2 things: 1. Russia isn't Israel or even Iran. 2. Each new ultimatum is a threat and a...

The new trade agreement between the U.S. and the European Union will lift tariffs on imports of goods from EU countries to their highest level in decades and hurt the trading bloc's economic growth, according to some experts.

"It is an asymmetric and unbalanced deal," economists with investment bank Société Générale said in a report. The EU decided neither to retaliate nor to increase its tariffs, and is even expected to reduce them. The EU agreed to a bad deal rather than risk trade war escalation."
