What will happen now that former President Donald Trump was found guilty (in 34 counts) by the jury?
*
Speculation on the judge relating to sentencing?
*
Appeals?
*
Political Damage?
*

This date was agreed to by his lawyer….

Who thinks Trump would have the balls to respond to this question?
Exonerated 5’ member has this question for Trump since he’s now a convicted felon
Do you think that we are still guilty?
But we all now Trump didn't care if they were quilty or not, he just didn't want to admit he was wrong...

Hoping this is a typical response from “normal” R and independent voters:

The problem for Trump is there’s nowhere for him to really expand his support. Some small segment of new voters, but that is an unreliable demographic. At this point, he’s almost certainly losing more people than he can attract, which is why so much effort is going in to desperately trying to frame Biden as the real criminal and the more mentally compromised candidate. Foreign adversaries, who want a weak and controllable Trump in the White House, are helping to foment chaos with the goal of suppressing enthusiasm for Biden. We will have to see how many people are gullible enough to fall for these efforts…again.

You ever notice how all these Republican tough guys say "This is tyranny! Real Americans won't stand for it! They will put a stop this!"

Never "I am going to stop this! Who is joining me!"

Just like our Fore Fathers who complained loudly that somebody should do something.

the overall silence from the right is deafening.

I saw a poll with 1 in 10 republicans changing their vote. That is catastrophic for the convicted rapist.

Half of all independents say he should drop out. The number who won't vote for him has to be a lot higher then that.

I'm sure the big money in the party has no idea what to do. I imagine the tact taken will be Trump is a lost cause, and the presidency. All this money that Trump is funneling from down ballot races for his legal defense. This has to stop.

I have no idea what they are going to do about making him the nominee, esp if he is in jail.

What we are really witnessing here is the failure of Roger Ailes strategy of making sure a Republican president like Nixon never had to resign again. It went to far, and created MAGA.

Yes, Trump’s veiled threat - I don’t think the public will stand for it if I get jail time - falls flat in the face of the complete lack of people showing up to support him at his trial. And he is barely breaking 10,000 at his rallies these days, with many people leaving before he gets done speaking. I don’t think municipal venues are open to booking him, because he stiffed them in 2020. I read that many small-medium cities were left holding the bag for security and even the venue fees themselves.

That's what I've been telling my wife all this time. I don't see Trump having any chance of winning in November. (and this was before the trials).

In 2020 he lost the popular vote by a larger margin than he did in 2016 (both in percentage and in actual number). That means that one of these is true: a) People who voted for Trump in 2016 did not vote for him in 2020. b) People who did not vote in 2016 were motivated to come out and vote in 2020. In either case, the only way for Trump to win in 2024 would be to convince significant numbers of voters in those two groups to vote for him in 2024. He has done absolutely NOTHING towards that end.

Someone in a news interview recently summed it up. There is zero chance of Donald Trump winning the 2024 election. However, there is a chance of Joe Biden losing it, and that is something that we all need to be concerned about.

Sweetheart, he couldn't pass a security check BEFORE he was President. He's in debt up his eyeballs to some people who make "shady" seem like a ringing endorsement. He's palled around with Jeffrey Epstein, has a half-dozen rape/assault cases he's bought off or intimidated away. The dude has always been utterly unfit for office. Nothing's changed.

We have polls saying he's lost women, he's lost independents, he's even losing Republicans and yet somehow this is still a one-percentage-point race.

HOW? Come on, guys. You're subtracting five, four and three and winding up with same number you started with. What. The. Fork.
