It’s so repulsive to see people cheering for what is basically 80% the same thing as the Holocaust - different end result but otherwise very similar.

Economists have said it would tank the economy and cause inflation - notwithstanding the cost.

Is it going to actually happen or is this Build The Wall 2.0?

Two undocumented immigrants with no criminal history after coming to America and three U.S.-born children have been deported after 35 years living in California.

Gladys Gonzales, 55, and Nelson Gonzalez, 59, from Laguna Niguel in the hills south of Los Angeles, were arrested during one of their routine check-ins with U.S. Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE) on February 21 and detained for three and a half weeks before finally arriving in their native Colombia on March 18.

"This sudden occurrence has left us in shock," wrote the daughters. "For nearly four decades, they have built a life here — raising three daughters, giving back to their community, and recently welcoming their first grandchild.

"Now, they are being treated as criminals, held in detention centers, and facing deportation. This cruel and unjust situation has shattered our family emotionally and financially.……

    ====================

When federal civil rights attorneys launched investigations in February into whether universities properly responded to antisemitism on campuses, they noticed something unusual about the marching orders from their bosses at the Education Department.

An early step in civil rights investigations is always a letter to the university demanding certain information. Typically, the department asks how many discrimination complaints were received, and what school officials did in response.

But the Trump administration told the attorneys working on the cases to also collect the names and nationalities of students who might have harassed Jewish students or faculty, according to documents and three attorneys with the Office for Civil Rights who have direct knowledge of the situation and who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the cases publicly.

The attorneys said they immediately wondered whether the list was meant as a tip sheet that the administration might use to target or deport foreign students who participated in protests.

“My first thought was, ‘This is a witch hunt,’” one attorney said.

Asked why the department was asking for the data and whether it related to immigration, Craig Trainor, the Education Department’s acting assistant secretary for civil rights, replied that the information was necessary to assess how the universities handled the antisemitism cases. His statement did not directly address the question of deportations.

Since taking office, President Donald Trump has signaled his administration’s intent to aggressively investigate universities for their handling of campus antisemitism. Trump has argued that pro-Palestinian protests have repeatedly morphed into antisemitism that infringed on the rights of Jewish students, and that neither universities nor the Biden administration took it seriously.

The request for student names is only one way in which the Trump administration is breaking with precedent in investigating these cases................

This could go in several threads. Children should be in school. Not working. Children who spend all night working will never be able to learn the next day

If the new law is passed, teenagers would be able to work overnight jobs on school days. They are currently prevented from working earlier than 6:30 am or later than 11 pm per state law.

"All I know is I'm sure as shirt not working in these fields. First teenagers, make some shirt up about valuable work experience. If that's not enough we'll have younger kids on 'field trips' do it, say how fun it is like Tom Sawyer. Then the homeless, they need something to do with themselves, this way they can earn a little money and do something productive for us with their lives. We all know being a housewife isn't a 'real job' you know what is? picking crops. Then prisoners, they just sit in a cell all day, why aren't they harvesting? They get one day off their sentence for every ton of produce they pick. Sounds like win/win to me"

Miami Herald reporting that a man with completely legal immigration status has been sent to the gulag in El Salvador. He applied for asylum in Venezuela, passed an extensive background check while living in Columbia. He and his girlfriend worked odd jobs in Columbia for at least 2 years while all the paperwork got done and every i was dotted and t was crossed. He received approval to come to the United States in January of this year. He and his girlfriend landed in Houston, excited to begin their new life in America. At the airport they asked him if he had any tattoos, and he replied truthfully, because he had already disclosed them as part of the vetting process. So they just took him into custody right then and there and sent him to prison in El Salvador. This is pure evil.

Reading the article it seems the pretext was a paperwork error in failing to disclose some frozen frog embryos. Normally a fine and nothing else. She wasn’t trying to conceal them - they were in a marked cooler.

Speculation is that Putin has given Trump a list of folks he wants returned and we are doing our best to manufacture anything to revoke a valid visa.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is facing backlash for using a crowded prison cell filled with deported migrants in El Salvador as the backdrop for a video threatening to prosecute people who come to the United States illegally.

“If you come to our country illegally, this is one of the consequences you can face,” Noem said in a video filmed at the Terrosim Confinement Center, known as CECOM, and posted to social media Wednesday evening.

Behind Noem in the video is a prison cell filled with men who are huddled together, trying to fit onto three-tier metal detention beds. The men wear uniform outfits: white t-shirts and white underpants with freshly shaved heads – keeping many of their identities concealed. Some are shirtless with their tattoos visible and others wear medical face masks.

On social media, several people accused Noem of using the individuals as “props” for her video.

“Regardless of political ideology, using human beings as background props in propaganda is nasty work,” journalist Zack Guzmán wrote on X…….

She's as disgusting, gross and ugly person as there is on this planet. She needs to be kept away from government, people, and pets. Maybe we should put her arse in one of those isolation cells.
