It’s so repulsive to see people cheering for what is basically 80% the same thing as the Holocaust - different end result but otherwise very similar.

Economists have said it would tank the economy and cause inflation - notwithstanding the cost.

Is it going to actually happen or is this Build The Wall 2.0?

A new report reveals that up to 80 per cent of immigrants facing deportation from the US under the Trump administration’s policies are Christian.

This equates to approximately 10 million Christians vulnerable to removal, with an additional seven million US Christian citizens living in households under threat of deportation.

The report, backed by prominent Catholic and evangelical organizations, utilizes a combination of data sources. These include religious affiliation percentages within migrant and national populations, alongside an advocacy group’s analysis of US census data concerning migrants.

While the report highlights the plight of Christian immigrants, its sponsors emphasize a broader concern for all individuals facing deportation.

"Though we’re deeply concerned about fellow Christians, we’re not exclusively concerned with immigrants who happen to share our faith,"explained Matthew Soerens, vice president of advocacy and policy at World Relief, an evangelical humanitarian organization and co-sponsor of the report.

Soerens, in a video statement, underscored the Christian belief in the inherent dignity of all people, regardless of religion or nationality. He noted, however, that many US Christians may be unaware of the significant number of potential deportees who share their faith.……..

Yeah, but if they're smart, they will focus on the 80% that are being deported that are Christian. The media should ask this administration every day why they have a "war on Christianity' and "why they're trying to rid the country of Christian immigrants, even those that came here legally." That will put them in a bind with their voter if those screws are drilled in enough to where they will have to back off some on ignoring the law and kidnapping people off the streets. Line up interviews with immigrant families (especially the children whose parents have been deported) in church and talk to the priest about how horrible it all is. That will help all immigrants here.

If the Republican voters have shown anything it's that they're easily manipulated and fooled. You just have to manipulate them with the right message and keep hammering it. A "war on Christianity" is definitely one of those messages that reaches them.

A couple eating at a Los Angeles International Airport restaurant left a racist message on their receipt instead of a tip for their server, he alleges.

“No tip for illegal,” the handwritten note read. “Go back to Mexico.”

Guillermo Ortiz waited on the couple near the end of his shift at the Planet Hollywood at LAX on March 21.

“20 minutes after (they left), I opened the checkbook, and I found the message, and it made me feel bad,” Ortiz said. “I’m not even Mexican, I’m Puerto Rican, but my wife is Mexican – there’s no right to treat people like that.”

Ortiz told KTLA the service was going fine until he brought the check to the table.…..

A Venezuelan man came to the United States to donate a kidney to his brother in kidney failure, but ICE authorities detained him, putting the fate of both brothers in question.

José Alfredo Pacheco, 37, was diagnosed with end-stage kidney failure in December 2023, shortly after arriving in the Chicago area from Venezuela, seeking asylum. His older brother, José Gregorio González, 43, hoped to donate his kidney to save Pacheco’s life — but immigration authorities detained him, throwing their plans into disarray.

The pair had an appointment at a hospital ahead of the organ transplant surgery, the Chicago Tribune reported. But those plans are now up in the air after Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested González on March 3 as he was making breakfast at his home for his sick brother.

“We both cried when they arrested him because we both know he is my lifeline,” Pacheco told the newspaper.

González was initially held at Clay County Detention Center in Indiana but is now in the “process of being transferred, making his deportation even more likely,” the Resurrection Project, a Chicago-based nonprofit whose legal team represents González. The Independent has reached out to the nonprofit for more information.

He could soon face deportation but has asked for humanitarian parole so that he can donate his kidney.“

After that, I will return to Venezuela,” González told the Tribune.

His brother could be forced to wait four to five years on a transplant waitlist if this organ exchange doesn’t happen, NBC News reported.……

A mother and her three children were “wrongfully” detained by immigration enforcement agents in New York and taken to a detention facility in Texas, a nonprofit says as it calls for their release.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers detained the mother - whose birth country was not disclosed - and her kids, one of whom is in third grade, on March 27 while they were executing an arrest on a farm in Sackets Harbor, New York, according to the New York Immigration Coalition.

“When ICE was executing an arrest on a farm, they also entered a different home on the property, without a judicial warrant, and detained the mother and her three children,” the nonprofit said, noting that President Donald Trump’s “border czar” Tom Homan lives in Sackets Harbor.

The family, who have not been publicly identified, have since been transported to ICE’s Karnes County Detention Facility in Texas. It’s not immediately clear why they were taken to Texas. The Independent has contacted ICE for more information.…..

    Absolutely outrageous and infuriating

I fear this is going to happen more often

The Trump administration accidentally sent a Salvadorian immigrant to a notorious Salvadorian prison and says it can’t do anything to get him back.

That’s even though the man had protected immigration status in the U.S., specifically barring him from being sent back to that country for fear of persecution.

On Monday, in a filing in Maryland federal court, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) admitted to mistakenly sending Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia to El Salvador’s notoriously brutal CECOT prison.

“On March 15, although ICE was aware of his protection from removal to El Salvador, Abrego Garcia was removed to El Salvador because of an administrative error,” the government wrote.

The admission came in a suit from Abrego Garcia’s family, who is seeking court orders barring the U.S. from paying El Salvador for the man’s detention and demanding that the federal government request the country return him to the United States.

The Trump administration argues that because the man is no longer in U.S. custody, a U.S. court lacks jurisdiction to issue orders regarding his detention and release.…..

CNN) — A federal judge on Friday ruled that the United States must bring back a man who was mistakenly deported to El Salvador last month.

Judge Paula Xinis of the US District Court in Maryland directed the federal government to return Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Salvadoran national, to the US no later than 11:59 p.m. on April 7.

Just before the graphic artist Rebecca Burke left Seattle to travel to Vancouver, Canada, on 26 February, she posted an image of a rough comic to Instagram.

“One part of travelling that I love is seeing glimpses of other lives,” read the bubble in the first panel, above sketches of cosy homes: crossword puzzle books, house plants, a lit candle, a steaming kettle on a gas stove.

Burke had seen plenty of glimpses of other lives over the six weeks she had been backpacking in the US. She had been travelling on her own, staying on homestays free of charge in exchange for doing household chores, drawing as she went. For Burke, 28, it was absolute freedom.

Within hours of posting that drawing, Burke got to see a much darker side of life in America, and far more than a glimpse. When she tried to cross into Canada, Canadian border officials told her that her living arrangements meant she should be travelling on a work visa, not a tourist one.

They sent her back to the US, where American officials classed her as an illegal alien. She was shackled and transported to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (Ice) detention centre, where she was locked up for 19 days – even though she had money to pay for a flight home, and was desperate to leave the US.

Burke had arrived in the US during the Biden administration, only to become one of 32,809 people to be arrested by Ice during the first 50 days of Donald Trump’s presidency.

Since February, several young foreign nationals have been incarcerated in Ice detention centres for seemingly little reason and held for weeks,
including Germans Lucas Sielaff, Fabian Schmidtand Jessica Brösche. (Brösche, 26, spent more than a month in detention, including eight days in solitary confinement.)

Unlike these other cases, Burke had been trying to leave the US, rather than enter it, when she was detained for nearly three weeks……

Here’s a totally fascist message - tell the truth in court that embarrasses Trump or his admin and get relieved of your duties.

They want to use IRS data to round up non-citizens. It would be a crime to do so. They are lawless.

I read earlier that the DOGE kids want to use Palentir to “hack” the IRS data systems. I didn’t know why they wanted in so bad when I read that, but I suppose this is why.
