It’s so repulsive to see people cheering for what is basically 80% the same thing as the Holocaust - different end result but otherwise very similar.

Economists have said it would tank the economy and cause inflation - notwithstanding the cost.

Is it going to actually happen or is this Build The Wall 2.0?

That isn’t how the GOP does voter suppression, but I imagine you know that already.
I mean it's common sense right? I post an article with actual facts, you say its not enough people to be fact.

Then you make conjecture and want to say it as fact. lol

I think we should ask what standard of proof it is these guys are actually asking for here.

Because the level of evidence we have clearly shows disenfranchisement on a significant scale is inherent in the measures and provisions in place and the inevitable effects thereof. In a, "if it's raining, people get wet," way. But it really seems like they're going for, "We want an impossible level of proof so we can carry on denying it through sheer wishful thinking and convince ourselves, if no-one else, that particular groups were leading purging of voter rolls, etc., for kicks and giggles".
Can either of you provide info on this disenfranchisements? What are the politicians who represent area's doing? Are they not electing the person to alleviate this atrocity? Please give examples so we can examine.

I know thats what you claim.
Oh, it isn’t my claim, it’s my acknowledgment of reality. Oh, and I didn’t mean you (specifically) were yammering about voter fraud, just that the GOP does. My apologies for the clunky wording.

Here is an article chronicling times various members of the GOP have admitted they need to restrict voting:

And here is a summary of voting restriction efforts led by the GOP in recent years. Using Wiki for convenience, and because the sources are all linked if you care to research.

voter turnout was lower in 2024 than 2020, but that’s a very small sample size. What we can see, however, is that in most GOP-led states (states with the most restrictive voting policies) voter turnout is lower than in states with more accessible voting policies. And we see that restrictive voting policies tend to have greater effects on urban and poor people.

Your first article is behind a paywall. The second one is a wiki page. Really? That is your evidence. lol
Ok, I signed up. Laughable what the left counts as evidence. Did you read the article ma'am. The early voting and mail in ballots, WE BELIEVE is one of the ways the left cheated. Most of the comments in the article revolve around that. Other than the 1 guy who was a crook.

I know for you guys it is tough to back up your claims. Seems like it has gone unchecked for so long y'all are actually falling for these laughable talking points.

I do find it funny. The left makes a claim and is called on it, the response is do your own research. If the right makes a claim, the call is we want proof from sources that we deem credible to our opinions. lolololololololololololololololol

Believe?? Since when has believe been the same as fact? So if you believe that the earth is flat - does that mean that we should take that as proof ?

You haven't disproven anything; you've merely presented beliefs as facts, as you've done repeatedly. When you do that, your credibility on this board diminishes.

You always know when someone doesn't have a leg to stand on when they resort to trying to dismiss a well written and researched Wikipedia article with over 300 references with "a wiki page, lol".

It’s completely maddening to put up with these shenanigans. Posting articles and claiming they say what they clearly do not say, and having that pointed out to you by two different people, and coming back the next day and repeating the false claim from the day before.

Challenging actual facts and reality, resulting in someone having to research something that is just common knowledge, only to have that effort derided with no basis.

Feelings over facts always with these guys. Discourse with them isn’t worth it. It truly isn’t. They just want to worship at the altar of Trump. Facts and reality be damned.

And now we are beating the dead carcass of irony with a stick, lol.

Would you like to chose one of the articles for me to read. I am not wading through that junk. This disenfranchisement is such a big deal, that no one will post any evidence. Please point out the factual disenfranchisement in our party. DId you read the washington post article that was supposed to be the ONE. Didn't show any suppression or disenfranchisement.

Please show us how many voters could not vote in the last or any election for that matter.

You are either being willfully obtuse or trolling. You tell me.

The WaPo article was not to show voter suppression, it was clearly stated it was to show the GOP had the mindset to try to restrict voting. The GOP has been fervently trying to restrict voting for years now and that cannot be refuted.

    A quote from Dear Leader:

By early 2020, with congressional Democrats pushing for $400 million to fund expanded mail-in balloting amid the coronavirus pandemic, President Donald Trump again pointed to higher turnout kneecapping his party. He said such a thing would lead to “levels of voting that, if you ever agreed to it, you’d never have a Republican elected in this country again.”

And that isn’t the only time Trump has admitted that the higher the voter turnout the more advantageous it is for the Democratic Party.

Believe?? Since when has believe been the same as fact? So if you believe that the earth is flat - does that mean that we should take that as proof ?
You are better than this. The article that was posted were politicians on the right talking about how the mail in ballots were not good for the Republicans because they believe that is one of the ways the Democrats cheated the election in 2020. You then tried to claim that was voter suppression on the part of Republicans.

That isn't what the article said. Read my response to Dragon above as I mixed the two of you up. Sorry

Do you want to take the article line by line to show you that you are misunderstanding what is written?

of course the GOP “says” they want to restrict voting because of voter fraud. Their only problem is they cannot show any evidence. They are using this outright lie - that democrats are committing voter fraud with mail in ballots - to suppress voting.

This just isn’t debatable with anyone who is reality based.

How are they suppressing it? I know you don't like to debate.
