Yeah, they are all showing their arses at this point. It's actually forking maddening that they want to turn this country into the very banana republic they claim to eschew. They're blinded by their fealty to Trump.

I mean, I completely agree with the sentiment, but I don't think any court is going to attach election results to this case in terms of losses. It's not clearly a direct line between the 2 things. And the operative comment you stated "we will never know" makes clear that lack of a direct line. It's a subjective sentiment. I agree with it, but for the court, it's not a consideration.

This makes it so that for this election cycle our votes effect on our system will be taken over to become a simple jurors vote for, or against his further conviction in the court of public opinion.

That's a reality of how he is, he's taking our votes this cycle to become a referendum, a direct voter appeal of his personal criminal conviction. We don't get to place any other issues on the political plank this cycle. It all goes to Trump's guilt or innocence. As usual he's consuming all of the Oxygen in any room he is in.

I don’t understand why you think that ad is good for Biden? To me it reinforces the idea that Biden is old and bad for our economy, while Trump will speed it up. I didn’t see the train running anything over. Perhaps if the train ran over laws or democracy or someone poor or anything else he has hurt, then it would make sense. I prefer to see Biden on a renewable machine with futuristic things.

This is what is so very infuriating: it’s entirely possible for a jury to be incorrect, it happens. If you disagree with the verdict - I have zero problem with that. I think you’re completely wrong, lol, but it’s your opinion. You can even be of the opinion that it shouldn’t have been charged - again I think that’s wrong, but it’s your opinion.

What no self-respecting patriotic American should ever do, however, is attack our system of laws. Say that the judge is corrupt with zero evidence, say the prosecutor is corrupt with zero evidence, say that the jurors were paid democratic operatives with zero evidence. Say that Biden arranged the prosecution with zero evidence.

I’ve seen supposedly serious people - people who know better - say all these things in public, on TV and on social media. And the 1 GOP Senate candidate who I saw that had the nerve to say that “whether you agree with the verdict or not, this is our system of justice at work” was threatened by a Trump campaign official - who tweeted at him - You just ended your campaign. Even Susan Collins put out a statement where she lied about Bragg having campaigned to get Trump.

It's so infantile. The obvious scapegoat is the defense attorney for putting on a poor defense. That would mean they lost fairly though.

I think it was Coldseat that pointed out to acquit Trump you had to believe Cohen was some angel that took out a home loan to pay off Stormy. The defense then wanted you to believe he turned into a spurned lover. When he didn't get a white house job, despite still being Trump's personal lawyer with a huge retainer(that was totally not a reimbursement). That's the core of the defense case, and it was unbelievable.
