    Appeals court rejects Trump's gag order appeal​

    While court has been in session this morning, a New York appeals court rejected Trump's attempt to overturn the gag order in the hush money trial.

    "Justice Merchan properly determined that petitioner's public statements posed a significant threat to the integrity of the testimony of witnesses and potential witnesses in this case as well," the ruling reads in part.

    Trump has, on a daily basis, railed against the gag order imposed by Judge Merchan, calling it unconstitutional. It bars the former president from making statements about witnesses, jurors, and family members of court staff.

The comments soon turned ugly. Some called for Merchan and other judges hearing cases against Trump to be killed.

    “Treason is a hangable offense,” one wrote.
    “They should all be executed,” added another.
