Biden has lost support from many people who voted for him in the past.
He is getting up there in age.
Here are a couple of sites I'd like to share...

WHAT DO ANY OF YOU THINK?
IS THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY BEST SERVED BY HAVING PRESIDENT BIDEN RUN FOR ANOTHER TERM OR WOULD A DIFFERENT CANDIDATE BE BETTER?

When is it acceptable to change candidates after primaries have locked in a candidate? How much evidence of decline in health justifies it? Would it be justified if a candidate were diagnosed with a serious disease that almost guarantees they can't serve effectively or possibly finish their term? The problem is that the perception is that Biden may have such a condition, but we have incomplete information, so we're left making judgements on that limited information. All efforts are not effectively changing the perception. They seem to be reinforcing the perception. Maybe there is more misogyny than I believe among Biden voters, but Hillary was on track to win until Comey dropped the bomb. If there are misogynists, then it'll just be a question of whether their misogyny is outweighed by their repulsion of Trump. I like our chances of persuading the misogynists that Harris can govern well than convincing people that are concerned about Biden's health that he will get better or hasn't declined significantly.
It's never acceptable. The person may decide to drop out on their own. The primary ran its course, their decision about dropping out or staying in is final.

Delegates do have the right to disregard their pledge at the convention. Voters have the opportunity to decide to elect them or not in the General election, so there is no reasonable argument to be made that this is somehow a necessity that their be a way outside of what is set up in the Constitution, or the state by state party rules.

Let's not pretend he would stay in the race because he is the better choice. Every single major centrist Democratic leader has told him to drop out. His donations are drying up as well.

I don't expect an announcement until Sunday, possibly Monday morning.
I don't expect there to be an announcement. There might be, or might not be, that's the question.

I hope not because there has already been an announcement, then the goalposts were moved, then another identical announcement, followed by another goalpost movement, rince, repeat. ... may it fall on deaf ears.

If Biden gives Harris his delegates, doesn't that practically eliminate a contested election, since many delegates would be legally obligated to vote for Harris? There are some that wouldn't be legally obligated, but most would still vote for Harris if Biden gives the delegates to her. The contest could be for the VP.
Biden cannot transfer his delegates. He may ask them to vote for Harris in his stead.

If this comes to be, I really hope Biden is negotiating a smooth transition and everyone quits shooting themselves in the foot.

Someone said today that Pelosi and Schumer were major boosters of making Clinton the nominee in 2016, which didn’t make me comfortable.
    Yeah, not surprising.

Sherrod Brown has not called for Biden to step down, he just called for this to get resolved. Here's his statement on video running at a local TV station in Ohio. This is a fact.

Some other sleazy media outlets that are running this story have exaggerated his statement, bending it to fit their needs.

Some of the media also did this to Pelosi. I wonder who else they have exaggerated statements from during their feeding frenzy.

He is extremely clear in the nbc article.

“I agree with the many Ohioans who have reached out to me,” Brown added. “At this critical time, our full attention must return to these important issues. I think the President should end his campaign.”

He isn't saying Biden shouldn't step down. He is saying "this needs to happen this weekend."

    I enjoyed this argument:

He’s unconvincing. He claims the donors don’t speak for the 14 million that voted for Biden, but I’ve seen polls that upwards of 60% of democrats think Biden should leave the race. I don’t know what percent of the 14 Mil think that way, but I bet it’s close to 60%, so I would say the donors are representative. He claims the debate is not a justification, which would be true if he was giving inspired performances since then. He points to the good job Biden has done, but he doesn’t address the concerns about Biden repeating that in another term. He claims Trump’s mind is cheese, but that just makes it sad that the election is so close. Why don’t a majority want to vote against the criminal, dangerous, cheese for brains? You would think he would be polling at under 30%. He says any change will result in lawsuits, but that’s not true. Harris would not cause a lawsuit if she gets the nomination before the convention ends. He also claims those that want change think Trump is better, which is also not true. Most don’t, but most recognize that we seem to be losing with the status quo. We know Trump is horrible and think he would be easy to beat with many other candidates. We also know Biden is unlikely to get better, because the trend is not good.

Do the 44 Senators who haven't called for Biden to step down count? Or do only the Senators who say what you agree with count?
They all count but it's certainly of interest that a fourth senator from the incumbent's own party has called for him to step aside within four months of the election.

Do we know what the ones that haven’t taken a position believe? I hear a lot of he is currently our nominee and it’s his decision. Few say they don’t want him to get out.
