Biden has lost support from many people who voted for him in the past.
He is getting up there in age.
Here are a couple of sites I'd like to share...

WHAT DO ANY OF YOU THINK?
IS THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY BEST SERVED BY HAVING PRESIDENT BIDEN RUN FOR ANOTHER TERM OR WOULD A DIFFERENT CANDIDATE BE BETTER?

Normally I would agree, but these are not normal times. While I don't deal in absolutes and this is kind of the optimist in me, I just simply can't see how what has happened since 2020 would garner Trump more votes in 2024. If it does then we are truly doomed....(I really don't think we are)......
Trump wouldn't necessarily even have to receive more votes than last time though, if there is a lack of motivation for four more years of Biden I wouldn't be surprised if he's unable to reach the numbers he did last time and remember, we're only talking 75,000 votes last time as the differentiator between Biden winning or Trump winning.

I genuinely hope I'm completely wrong and that the Trump legal stuff will have a major impact.. but I find it alarming that it's not registering in the polling currently. I know I know, still a long ways to go.. but still, it feels to me like a lot of "normal" people are brushing Trump's legal issues to the side and I guess I feel unsure if convictions will change that.

Don’t forget that women are not going to vote to have their rights removed. And millions of young people have turned 18 since 2020. And Trump sounds like a raving lunatic….

Yup....I think we already have seen some pretty strong indications that the woman's rights issues are going to be telling for R's.....I hope it destroys the party, it is what they deserve.....

This is a big part of why Biden should run. Just a decent man, who knows what he is doing. A calm, steadying influence. Too many people trying to burn everything down these days.

IMO, the job he has done to bring some type of normalcy back after 4 years of an absolute trainwreck he will never be given proper credit for, he has done a much better job than most think....

I agree, but a lot of politics is all about perception. I just don't think he'll win back many voters. I fully expect his numbers will be lower than what he got in 2020. The question is whether the Republican candidate matches what Trump got then.

If Trump gets the nomination somehow and manages to win another term (and somehow skirt his legal troubles) this country is absolutely doomed. I just don't want to believe he would gain any votes with everything that has happened since 2020....

No doubt. I'll be in another country if Trump gets elected.

I remember during the 2020 election you mentioned there was a split in your household regarding Trump — has that changed since then?

Sort of. My kids don't care for him at all. Oldest son went from big on Trump to meh. Wife still likes him for whatever weird reason, but she's not as big a supporter as she used to be. In laws still want him to win more because they're big 2A supporters more than anything about Trump.

Thanks for the update. I’ve got family that supported and I presume still supports him - I don’t look at Facebook anymore and otherwise just don’t talk to them too much just to avoid conflict about it. My wife and I fortunately have very similar views, but I think that would be very difficult to navigate if we didn’t, as polarizing as Trump is.

Yeah, probably because they live with me, lol. They know I don't tolerate Trump's nonsense and they've come around to the idea that Trump is a terrible person and would not be good for our country if he's elected again.

I do have another neighbor and good friend we've known for 25+ years and she's as big a Trump supporter as she's ever been. She still thinks stuff like Antifa was behind 1/6 and Proud Boys are being unfairly targeted. And all of the cases vs Trump are political and personal vendettas against Trump.

So it's a mixed bag. Some have come around a bit. Maybe not gonna vote for Biden, but they're thinking twice about voting Trump.

There is an incumbency advantage. I've kind of settled on, if the economy doesn't take a nose dive he runs, if it implodes have open primaries.

The Republican primary will be so tainted. I think there is a decent chance Trump picks the Republican nominee from behind bars.

A man who wrote the book on Joe Biden says he still thinks it is possible that the incumbent president steps aside and lets another Democrat head their party’s ticket in 2024.

Franklin Foer, author of the upcoming book The Last Politician, told NBC’s Meet the Press in an interview this weekend that he believes the president has carefully left open the possibility of changing his mind before the year’s end.

The president’s bid for re-election has been met with widespread concerns about his age, including from his own party. Meanwhile, his likely opponent in a 2024 general election is almost certainly Donald Trump, who is just a few years younger than Mr Biden and has also faced his own calls to let younger leaders take the reins.

“I would say it would, it would be a surprise to me. But it wouldn’t be a total surprise,” Foer told host Chuck Todd of the possibility of the president dropping out. “It wouldn’t be a total shock.”

“When he talks about his life, he uses this word, fate, constantly,” Foer continued. “Joe Biden is a very religious guy, and fate is a word loaded with religious meaning. And he always talks about, ‘He can’t say where fate goes.’ And so I always, when I hear that, to me, it’s the ellipses in the sentence when he’s talking about his own future.”…….

He wasn't my first, or second or even third choice... but I realize at the time, many in the US wanted to get back to normalcy after the 4 years of lunacy with trump.

And so it didn't surprise me when the pendulum swung back to possibly the most bland, vanilla candidate lol. With that being said, I admit he has done a better job that I thought he would

Biden has done a great job but the Flim flam, arse hats want to impeach him…
