Yeah, but I ain't trusting handlers with my raw milk in a manufacturing setting lol. I know you're not surggeting that, just sayin'. I'd definitely drink raw milk from a healthy cow.

Marge wouldn't know a healthy cow from a sick one, and even less chance she understands how manufacturing large quantities of milk gets accomplished. What she's suggesting in that everyone should drink raw milk is not only impossible because more people don't have their own healthy cows, it's outright dangerous because misinformed people will start thinking they can just drink raw milk from whatever cow without understanding the safety measures needed to produce milk.
I don't know, my guess would be that Large Marge would know all about cows and milking even though she might not know shirt from shinola about anything else.

When I hear that Christmas song that has the lines:

On the eighth day of Christmas,
my true love gave to me
    Eight maids a-milking, ... .

I expect Large Marge is one of those Eight maids a-milking. That's her personality type.

One would need a large barn with doors for that kind of Christmas.

With eight milk cows for milking.

    Re: raw milk

    FWIW…

I take that to mean you think raw milk should never be considered safe.
Where did I say that? Drinking raw milk is a risk, just like the risk I took as a child riding standing up on the front seat of our station wagon. It’s fine, until it’s not. I thought I made that point very clearly.

And the only risk isn’t from handling, although that is a part of the risk. There is a risk that a cow who appears healthy will in fact harbor disease, and that bacteria will be passed to the consumer.

Drinking raw milk is a risk. People who advocate it should be aware of the risks and should not minimize the risks.

    FDA FAQ about raw milk:

I have no position personally regarding raw milk. The discussion, for me, underscores extreme positions on both sides: pasteurized = bad, raw = good and vice versa. The link I provided shows pasteurization is not as damaging as claimed and as Sam and La-L.A. posted notes that raw milk when produced under the conditions of organic production is safe. One of the problems I see is the enormous amount of chemicals used in agriculture with the capitalist goal of maximizing output and thus maximizing profit while damaging small farmers.

I was hoping Mace would be a different kind of Republican. But no, she's just another MAGA.
She appears to be so scared of vampires getting to her, that she's wearing a massive pair of gold vampire shields dangling from her ears to protect her neck from their bite.

DaveXA, I get it but it doesn’t seem like those Republicans exist anymore. Or they do but MAGA controls the money levers and the agitprop leversand said Republicans don’t stand a chance of winning.

    Speaking of lunacy…

I was on LinkedIn and someone posted that hurricanes are caused by cloud seeding and electronic ionization. From there things went “downhill” which is almost impossible. Claims of the government hating their own people. One guy said that an example of the government hating their own people was Big Pharma. Claims that the DEW (Distant Early Warning) line is somehow involved.

Fercryinoutloud the mental health crisis in this country is accelerating. The majority of people need help of some sort.

The vociferously anti-LGBTQ superintendent of a Virginia public school district claims he was fired not for a lack of qualifications or his bigoted online activity, but for joining with former child star-turned-ultra-conservative evangelical activist Kirk Cameron in a campaign to sideline secular children’s titles by Scholastic, the world’s largest publisher of children’s books, in favor of Christian-themed books that “reinforce biblically-based, foundational values.”

Ousted Spotsylvania County Public Schools Superintendent Mark Taylor partnered with the crusading Cameron last year to put on a book fair featuring works by publishing house Brave Books, which aims to “empower your children against woke culture.”

Brave has released children’s books by, among others, conspiracy theorist and convicted felon Dinesh D’Souza, disgraced US Army general and QAnon acolyte Michael Flynn, former NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch and Cameron himself.

Taylor had no education experience before he was hired in 2022, over the objections of many — including his own daughter — at a base salary of $245,000. He was terminated for cause in March 2024, but the specific reasons for his firing were hashed out behind closed doors and never fully revealed. (Taylor was already under fire for posting racist and homophobic material on his social media feeds, which he speculated, disingenously, could have been hacked.)………

All those "conservative" communities elected MAGA radicals to their school boards back in 2022 during the CRT, trans sports, and book bans manufactured outrages. Those school boards then hired the most unqualified superintendents to run their school districts. Then they proceeded to watch their local schools turn into complete shirt. Now they're wondering how it got so bad.

Lesson that should be learned by those communities, "never elect MAGA radicals to any position of elected office". Lesson that will be learned by those communities, "none".

This guy is claiming a Marine sniper is killing FEMA workers. Of course he also claims that “metal yellowjackets” are swarming the inhabitants of WNC after the storm. Robot wasps and soldiers killing FEMA workers, at least one person responded well, lol.

Donald Trump’s supporters have threatened the consultancy firm Deloitte with the loss of lucrative government contracts if he returns to the White House after the election in November because one of its employees leaked critical comments about his presidential performance made by his running mate, JD Vance.

The Republican nominee’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr, led the warnings of retribution after the Washington Post published correspondence that showed Vance expressing negative views about the Trump administration long after he claimed he had become a supporter. The correspondence also showed Vance forecasting – accurately – that the former president would lose the 2020 election to Joe Biden.

Ethics experts seized on the threats to punish Deloitte for the actions of an individual employee and warned that it might be a harbinger of how a second Trump administration would use its power over the federal government.

“I’ve never seen anything like this,” Kedric Payne, the senior director of ethics at the non-partisan Campaign Legal Centre, told the Washington Post. “You can’t imagine that if one employee out of thousands made a statement that offended an official, that then the government contracts would be in jeopardy.”……
