Donald Trump’s supporters have threatened the consultancy firm Deloitte with the loss of lucrative government contracts if he returns to the White House after the election in November because one of its employees leaked critical comments about his presidential performance made by his running mate, JD Vance.

The Republican nominee’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr, led the warnings of retribution after the Washington Post published correspondence that showed Vance expressing negative views about the Trump administration long after he claimed he had become a supporter. The correspondence also showed Vance forecasting – accurately – that the former president would lose the 2020 election to Joe Biden.

Ethics experts seized on the threats to punish Deloitte for the actions of an individual employee and warned that it might be a harbinger of how a second Trump administration would use its power over the federal government.

“I’ve never seen anything like this,” Kedric Payne, the senior director of ethics at the non-partisan Campaign Legal Centre, told the Washington Post. “You can’t imagine that if one employee out of thousands made a statement that offended an official, that then the government contracts would be in jeopardy.”……

It's politics at this point. But yeah, if he's in office and doing this, for sure. I'm sure he will.

We as a nation just cannot afford to elect Trump. If Harris wins the election, they must not let the bullies try and steal it from us, the electorate.

Promising a fascist response isn’t just politics, dave, with all due respect. Having the government punish an entire organization for a political leak that may have come from one of its members, without any proof, is not what the US does. Especially since the leaks had nothing to do with any security issue, they were just accurate accounts of what Vance said that were politically inconvenient for Trump.

Oh I agree. I'm just saying it's not there yet, but certainly can if they win the WH.

A top advisor to Donald Trump has now accused Fox News of running “literal propaganda” for airing a Hurricane Milton safety update from the president and federal officials.

Chris LaCivita, a GOP strategist and advisor to the Trump campaign, tweeted a photo of the channel airing an update on the storm from Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. Officials from FEMA, the Coast Guard, the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration and the National Weather Service also attended the call…….

LaCivita is a horrible person - a liar and extremist who engineered the use of Arlington National Cemetery for a campaign event. He can go fork himself, and when he’s done, he can fork off some more.
Absolutely agree. These idiots are bat guano crazy.

The mother of a gun violence victim sat for an NBC News interview in July and now is slamming a pro-Donald Trump group for distorting her words to attack Kamala Harris in a new ad.

Kimberly Burrell, 53, was one of five Black voters from Philadelphia interviewed by the network this summer about the issues that matter most to them ahead of the election. Now, snippets of the lifelong Democrat appear in a conservative PAC’s ad slamming “Bidenomics.”

The ad focuses on the economy under President Joe Biden. “Imagine the mother making minimum wage trying to feed children,” a choked-up Burrell says in the clip. “They’re killing us without killing us.”

The ad then freezes on Burrell’s tear-stained face as a video of a chipper Kamala Harrisspeaking plays beside her in a split screen. “That is called Bidenomics,” the vice president says with a laugh.

When her relatives notified her that she was in an anti-Harris ad, Burrell was “distraught,” she told the Philadelphia Inquirer. The 30-second ad reportedly began running on October 2 by the Restoration PAC. The group’s websitestates that it “provides support to truly conservative candidates, and opposes Leftists and the woke agenda.”

    “I was a mess,” the pro-Harris supporter added. “I couldn’t stop crying.”

“They can just steal your image and comments and twist it the way they want it to be twisted,” the paralegal said. “It’s just really sick.”……

When the Philadelphia Inquirer reporter contacted Restoration PAC for comment, its spokesperson replied: “Your X feed indicates you are a hard-partisan with a strong case of Trump Derangement Syndrome — therefore you don’t need my help in cobbling together your biased column. Have a blessed day.”…….

Rudy Giuliani told a federal bankruptcy court in February that he believes Donald Trump’s campaign and the Republican National Committee owe him $2 million for his failed legal efforts to overturn election results in 2020.

His bankruptcy case was dissolved in August, and now a pair of election workers Giuliani defamed during his 2020 crusade are hoping to recover the $148 million that a jury said they are owed.

But Giuliani does not want those women touching the Trump campaign.

His attorneys urged a federal judge in New York on Tuesday to block Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss from targeting Giuliani’s “alleged claim against the Trump Campaign” to avoid a “media frenzy” before Election Day.

But Giuliani himself told a federal bankruptcy court in February that he believes Trump’s campaign owes him roughly $2 million because it “never paid the legal fees” surrounding his efforts to challenge election results.…..

A desperate man in North Carolina has blamed Donald Trump and right-wing misinformationfor his father-in-law’s refusal to accept help from FEMA in the wake of Hurricane Helene.

On a recent episode of the Dan Abrams Show on SiriusXM, a man named Anthony called in and said the relative, who lives in Asheville, North Carolina, refused assistance from FEMA after the region was battered by the devastating hurricane.

He told Abrams that the situation was “breaking up our family,” according to Mediaite.

Anthony stated that his father-in-law was afraid that FEMA would “take his house” if he accepted assistance from the agency.

Trump, Republican lawmakers, and conservative media figures like Sean Hannity have been pushing misinformation regarding FEMA since Hurricane Helene hit North Carolina.……
