The other thing that really impacts the government is what about the west wing. All the people running the west wing are likely going to be on quarantine and it could be a super spread that impacts the entire executive branch.

So the reporting is that Trump was aware that he was exposed Thursday morning and then later on Thursday he went to an in-person fundraiser where no one wore masks.. guess he again didn't want to cause a panic..

I can't think of a single issue where Trump's continued involvement is a good thing. Anyone who fears chaos or instability at POTUS being incapacitated hasn't, IMO, been paying attention to this particular POTUS.

I get the sentiment. I don't like him either, but, he's still the President, and there will be a lot more uncertainty with him having CV19 because we don't know what kind of effect it will have on him, what kind of disruptive effect it has on the country's disposition in terms of readiness and whether enemies would attempt to test our resolve to protect our interests and of course with the election being so soon, the uncertainty this brings muddles the picture even more.

I'm not necessarily fearful of chaos or instability resulting from an incapacitated President, but, it's still a very real possibility, and there likely will be unwanted and/or unforseen consequences of that happening.

I'd rather the President be healthy and we have a conclusive election and look ahead to our nation begin recovering from all that was 2020.

Fwiw, being be kind of person he is, I just don't see him admitting he has CV19 unless he's absolutely forced to. Because he's the President, his health is a public interest and there's no way he could hide it. It's also a real blow to his flippant attitude about prevention and protection from the spread of the virus. I just don't see him wanting to project any kind of weakness, especially when he knows his political opponents are already questioning his health. It just doesn't make much sense.

I wouldn't rule out that he might claim it was a false positive, but i tend to think it's true, particularly if it's one of the more highly reliable tests.

I don't think he's made many good decisions while in office, but right now, whether it's him or Biden, I just want a peaceful transition to the next term either way. I'm all crisised out at this point.

I find this stuff sort of interesting. Apparently yesterday a pair of E6-B Mercury aircraft popped up on flight tracking data/transponder apps, one on the east coast and one on the west. The US DOD uses these to transmit command information to naval vessels and assets at sea, including nuclear forces. The speculation is that they were flying to provide "be alert" instructions (or perhaps a defense condition change) resulting from the president's Covid diagnosis - in the event that an adversary were to view this is as some kind of strike opportunity. Also, these flights being visible on civilian systems is, by speculation, intentional to let observers (at those adversaries) know that we were doing it (sending alert/condition orders).

Pentagon says it's just a coincidence, but there's really nothing wrong with it being what the analysts suggest it is. That would make sense.

I have to strongly disagree with all the pearl clutching about Trump's potential incapacitation.

He has no role in readiness nor has he even paid attention to his job. If he lays sick and dies for a month, the country will be better run than it has been in years. Were he to have simply let the people do their job and play golf every day and twice on Sundays, we would be better off - BY FAR - than we are while he's throwing wrenches into the gears of government.

The military, JCOS, and every understaffed, politically damaged agency is better the minute Trump is quiet than the day before. Even his freaking cabinet members are likely excited by the prospect of his being absent and quiet.

Read a tweet a while ago from NSA reporter who posted screen shots of East and West coast flight radars and said thats exactly what DoD wants- any adversary to see them in the skies.

Many more machinations are starting to move- including keeping the House Speaker in quarantine ( speculative but suggested )
