As we head toward the summer and the National Party Conventions, it might be handy to have a thread focused on the upcoming matchup of current President Biden vs Former President Trump.
As of April 28,2024 , CNN's poll shows Trump leading. Yet polls are not always accurate and they are constantly changing.
Feel free to use this thread for all things relating to Biden vs Trump.

    Waiting for my turn
I love that the White Christian Nationalist troll totally disregards/underestimates the power of the female vote.....

All due respect, Steve is a troll that is not worth wasting too much of your time on....
Steve wanted the female candidate N Haley.
Steve additionally suggested that Dems would be better served with K Harris as their nominee.
Steve works in an elementary school with mostly female colleagues and Steve has a female boss (The building principal) I respect everyone and everyone respects me.
Steve was disappointed that the GOP female vote went more to Trump than Haley.
Considering Trump's history with former wives and Trump's comments that have been demeaning to women, I was really disappointed that Haley didn't get more of the female vote.
I am well aware that the female vote is critically important.
Lastly I aim to be consistent in my posting style regardless of the gender of the person I am interacting with.
If I see a male poster or a female poster is focusing on me rather than focusing on the topic at hand....usually meaning Trump and Biden, I call them out equally.
    Thank you.

...intentionally ignores and distracts from the actual point as always. I look forward to Steve calling me out.
Really. My answer seemed to address what I quoted.....and your username is gender neutral. I do not know your gender and if you reveal it to me it won't matter. I do attempt to ridicule ANYONE who focuses on me.

The point that was made was that you, like the rest of the Trump regime, keep ignoring that the polls greatly underestimate how many women are actually voting and that 66% of the women are voting against Republicans in elections since 2022 when Dobbs overturned Roe. That's what "the power of the female vote means." The voters who are women are going to be the most significant determinant of this election and current history says they are going to resoundingly vote against Trump and Trump Republicans.

You responded to that point by defending that you support women and falsely implying that the majority of women support Trump. Of course more Republican women voted for Trump over Haley. That was to be expected, but still a significant portion of them did not and probably will not. Even more, Republican women only make a minority of all women who are registered to vote.

I fully expect the registered Democrats who are women to support Biden or Harris.
My intention in my prior post was only to mention my disappointment with registered Republican women who opted to vote for Trump.
I was only meaning to narrowly focus on that. I was not implying anything.
The Roe v Wade issue is very important to many women and I already knew that.

Oh Goody! It's GOP VP day, time to pick out and lay claim to your favorite lotto name.

I want Senator Mike Lee of Utah's name. I don't know why.

This is a gambling kind of thing.

I'm confused, are we suppost to believe polls or not believe polls? are is it just the ones that say what i like?
I don't rely on polls. I point out to the people who rely on them, that the polls don't show what they claim they do.

Polls don't show Biden behind Trump, when they are within the poll's margin of error. In head to head voting questions, Biden and Trump are almost always within the margin of error of each. That means almost all of the polls show Biden and Trump are in a neck and neck voting race. If someone trusts polls are accurate, then they should also trust that Biden and Trump are in a neck and neck race.

I don't think the polls are accurate or can be trusted. Since 2022, Democrats do better in elections than the polls have indicated and Republicans have done worse than the polls have indicated. Since the polls are showing a neck and neck race, I think the recent trending in polls make it reasonable to think that Biden might actually have an election winning lead over Trump. We can't know if that's true, but it's consistent with all of the things we do know.

looks like Vance is the VP pick
That would be fantastic. Vance is just as off putting and disliked as Trump by the general public and Trump's biggest donors hate him. They've been fighting with Trump not to pick Vance. If Trump picks Vance, he's made a choice that will not help him get more votes and he's told his biggest donors to eff off.

Vance will magnify Trumps worst traits, he won't balance them out. If Trump picks Vance, it's because Trump is convinced Vance will do whatever he asks Vance to do, laws and the Constitution be damned.

polls are more accurate in popular vote mechanics.. they don't reflect well in electorial college.
But all polls are worded in such a way so they are easily manipulated. it seems asking a simple question cannot be part of the proecess

That's why the head to head is the most important part of any poll. That's the only question where they ask "if your choice is between A and B, who would you vote for?"

    Yeahhhhh baybeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!

A big part of why I'm so happy, just so happy, that Trump chose Vance is because his top donors and their expert advisors hated the idea of Vance. They've been fighting with Trump not to pick Vance. That's because they know it will end up hurting Trump's chances of winning the election.

But there's more, Trump picking Vance means Trump is 100% going to run his campaign out of ego and not the sound advice of people that know what they are talking about. Vance is an OG Trump yes man. That's why Trump picked him.

I look forward to the Harris Vance VP debate.
