It’s so repulsive to see people cheering for what is basically 80% the same thing as the Holocaust - different end result but otherwise very similar.

Economists have said it would tank the economy and cause inflation - notwithstanding the cost.

Is it going to actually happen or is this Build The Wall 2.0?

I have a big issue with sending them directly to a foreign prison. It’s just wrong.

Every gang member, illegally present, should be rounded up and properly deported.

But a gang member, illegally present, might have second thoughts about remaining if they realize they could end up in one of the worlds most notorious prisons. And I wonder if the few planes sent to El Salvador were intended to plant that fear. Seems a bit coincidental that the self deport app popped up about the same time.

I trust that you also agree that American law requires to rounded-up gang member opportunity to have the government show evidence that they are a gang member?

If they are illegally present, and don’t have a pending asylum or scheduled court hearing, I’m pretty sure they are subject to proper deportation, gang member or otherwise.

Sending them to a foreign prison isn’t proper.

As I clearly stated before , “proper deportation “.

    Nor is it deportation.

But expedited removal is not unlimited either.

There are 1.4 million with deportation orders. Round them up. I’d say logistically they can’t do it in 4 years.

I will be curious to see what the self deportation numbers are in 4 years.

What you say after the “but” is pretty telling, IMO. You are justifying what you claim to have a “big issue” with. You also don’t admit that we have credible reports that they aren’t actually only grabbing gang members, but rather anyone with a tattoo of any kind, and sending them to a foreign prison.

You seem to be saying it’s a trade-off you are somewhat comfortable with. Violating the human rights of 200-300 people, some as young as 14, who may or may not be in a gang is worth it?

There should be no “buts” when we are talking about the violation of human rights like this. Not in America.

    Apparently not to wise.

    *too

As MT said above, everything said after the but renders moot what came before it. You can say you want things done properly and that things are wrong, but you erase all of that when you try to justify it or rationalize it after the "but."

I made no such assertions to a trade off. That’s your fevered mind. I simply pointed out the possible relationship of sending a few planes to a notorious prison and the release of the self deportation app. As in self deportation to avoid being grabbed and sent to a notorious prison. The coincident timing of the planes to El Salvador and the self deportation app might indicate a plan on the part of ice.

Didn’t try to justify or rationalize anything Also your fevered mind doesn’t seem to comprehend. I Simply raised the idea that it was an interesting coincidence of the planes and the release of the app. Was it coordinated to scare the target individuals into self deportation? It’s really that simple.

okay, so how do you feel about this “plan” which exists only in your own fevered mind? Mind sharing that with us, because I cannot come up with a reason you would make up or speculate about such a “plan” without any proof unless you were trying to justify the actions of this Administration which are clearly in violation of human rights.

Anyone who decries a violation of human rights and then uses the word “but” is justifying. Ascribing intentions, making excuses, whatever you want to call it doesn’t matter.

At least I comprehend what a three-letter word means.
