It’s so repulsive to see people cheering for what is basically 80% the same thing as the Holocaust - different end result but otherwise very similar.

Economists have said it would tank the economy and cause inflation - notwithstanding the cost.

Is it going to actually happen or is this Build The Wall 2.0?

Except it's not speculative. It's verifiable.

Q: "If the prices of groceries don't come down, will your presidency be a failure?"

A: "I don't think so. Look, they got them up. I'd like to bring them down. It's hard to bring things down once they're up. You know, it's very hard. But I think that they will."

Q: "During the campaign, you disavowed Project 2025, but so far at least five people you’ve appointed to top positions in your cabinet have ties to it. Doesn’t that undermine what you told Americans on the campaign trail?"

A: "No look, I don't—I don't disagree with everything in Project 2025, but I disagree with some things. I specifically didn't want to read it because it wasn't under my auspices, and I wanted to be able to say that, you know, the only way I can say I have nothing to do with it is if you don't read it. I don't want—I didn't want to read it. I read enough about it. They have some things that are very conservative and very good. They have other things that I don't like. I won't go into individual items, but I had nothing to do with Project 2025. Now, if we had a few people that were involved, they had hundreds of them. This is a big document, from what I understand."

This is literally how cults work, Joe. This isn't opinion, this is fact.

That's what it looks like when people deal in facts, Joe. You should try it.
Everything you just referenced is your opinion and interpretation of what Trump said. Did he say those things. Sure. I’m assuming you quoted him accurately. But that doesn’t mean your statement regarding his statements are accurate.

For example. You stated that Trump confirmed his support for Project 2025 and then supported that with a Trump statement that stated he hadn’t read the whole document and in fact disagreed with some of its proposals.

So your statement isn’t factual. In fact it’s misleading. So don’t expect me to believe everything you post. Just because you say you are informed doesn’t make it so and it certainly doesn’t mean everything you post is in fact factual or true. You are certainly welcome to your opinion.

Well, Trump disagreed with some of its proposals. I feel much better.

    Or not.

Did you miss the point where he said claimed he did not read it so he could deny it and then said he read enough about it? Either he read it or did not. He cant claim both is true

I wanted to be able to say that, you know, the only way I can say I have nothing to do with it is if you don't read it. I don't want—I didn't want to read it. I read enough about it.

This is what Trump does again and again when he does not want to take blame for his actions.

She provided actual quotes. That is not speculation.

I have not read it either but I have read about it. So yeah it can be true. I could also probably speculate and say there are things I might agree with in the document and further speculate that there are also things I won’t agree with. It’s a long document from what I’ve heard and covers many points.

There are many “think tanks” out there. They produce all kinds of proposals. Do all Dems “completely” support every idea from every liberal think tank? I doubt it. The same can reasonably be said for Republicans.

You can read into Trumps statement what you choose. That’s your “opinion” of what is in his head. That doesn’t make your opinion a “fact” nor does it make it true. You have no way of knowing what truly is in his head unless you are a mind reader. I never met one and I kinda doubt you can pull that off. All we can “know” is what he actually does. I will judge him based on his actions and not on what somebody claims he’s thinking.

Well, Trump disagreed with some of its proposals. I feel much better.

Without ever saying which project 2025 proposals he thinks are very good and which are very bad

And as far as I can tell he’s never asked that obvious follow up question when me makes that statement

So what? I read the quotes. They didn’t say he completely agreed with everything in Project 2025. In fact he said the opposite.

He said lol - while his incomming administration is following the blue print described in Project 2025 like 95% so he gets off the hook for lying about it? And most of his transfer team is part of project 2025 - including Vance....

You are not being honest. You are nothing but a troll. If his plan for the first months align 95% with what is described in Project 2025 would you still claim he was truthful ?

No one posted the quote you referenced where he said his administration is following Project 2025 “like 95%”. That’s opinion. His administration doesn’t even exist and won’t exist legally until he is inaugurated. So you don’t know what if any parts of Project 2025 will eventually become policy. Further you don’t know whether those policies will look anything like what is in Project 2025.

So you are being dishonest. You can believe what you want on what you think may or may not happen. Up to you. I don’t have a crystal ball and I doubt you have one either. What I do know is that you are speculating here on what someone may or may not do in the future. You are also speculating on what may or may not make it through the legislative process in what is a very divided and partisan Congress. But that doesn’t make it fact. It’s just your opinion on what the future holds.

That was not a quote and there were no quotation marks - that was a fact. You are always accusing others of what you do yourself

During his 2024 presidential campaign, Donald Trump and aides repeatedly dismissed the idea of any association between them and Project 2025, the Heritage Foundation effort to draft a transition plan and detailed policy blueprint for Trump to use should he win the election. At least 140 members of the first Trump administration helped with the plan, and multiple former Trump Cabinet members wrote much of Project 2025’s 922-page Mandate for Leadership manifesto — including top Trump adviser Russell Vought — but the whole thing became an election-year liability when Democrats began associating the Trump campaign with the extreme policies Project 2025 proposed. Now that Trump and Team MAGA are headed back to the White House, they clearly aren’t keeping their distance anymore. Trump has named several Project 2025 authors and contributors to his White House Cabinet, and despite the fact that Trump transition co-chair Howard Lutnick vowed in September that “I won’t take a list from them,” transition officials are reportedly consulting Project 2025’s personnel database in search of staff to hire.

That was an opinion. Nothing more. You can call it a fact if you choose but that doesn’t make it so.

Let's try it this way. The general manager of the New York Jets says "I don't disagree with everything about playing defensive football, but I disagree with some things. They have some things that are very defense-oriented and very good. They have other things that I don't like."

That GM then goes out and signs the best safety, cornerback, linebacker, and pass rusher in the league. He then hires the Defensive Coordinator, Linebackers Coach, and Secondary Coach from the team that led the league in defense last year.

What percentage chance would you give the Jets of focusing on the defense next season?

You are starting to sound like Biden. I would try to figure out what you are trying to say but I’m not all that interested.

No matter how many sports analogies you throw at this it doesn’t make what you say anymore factual or true. It’s your opinion. A prediction. But not ain’t a fact.

Are you unable to answer the question or do you simply lack the intellectual curiosity to understand a point of view that isn't your own?

    What question?

    The one you quoted...

I think it’s an apples to oranges analogy. you are attempting to equate the running of the federal government, the largest bureaucracy in the country with a multi trillion dollar budget, with running a professional sports franchise. Big difference.

So my answer to your sports analogy is that I don’t really care. It’s a BS analogy. Therefore irrelevant in my opinion.
