This election nonsense by Trump may end up splitting up the Republican Party. I just don’t see how the one third (?) who are principled conservatives can stay in the same party with Trump sycophants who are willing to sign onto the TX Supreme Court case.

We also saw the alt right types chanting “destroy the GOP” in Washington today because they didn’t keep Trump in power. I think the Q types will also hold the same ill will toward the traditional Republican Party. In fact its quite possible that all the voters who are really in a Trump personality cult will also blame the GOP for his loss. It’s only a matter of time IMO before Trump himself gets around to blaming the GOP.

There is some discussion of this on Twitter. What do you all think?

We gotta go back to the way things were. So...we can just go though the whole civil rights movement all over again? Lol.

Good lord some people are dumb.
this is EXACTLY what MAGA means, its just that most won't say it out loud. Thats why most of them can't give a straight answer when asked what it means.

House Rs have had an eventful day. There was a hearing where Durham testified and several Dems made him look like a fool to the point that Gaetz accused Durham of being part of the “cover up”. Lol. And MTG and Boebert had words on the floor, because MTG accused Boebert of “copying” her articles of impeachment for Biden. MTG confirmed she had called Boebert a “little birch”. Rs decided to censure Adam Schiff for “lying” about Trump, when as far as I can tell no lies were told. They have NOT even come close to censuring Santos who admitted he lied about everything in order to win his seat.
The Schiff censure vote failed a few days ago, because there are still some serious Rs in the House. But Trump got mad and sent word that he wanted the censure to go through, so they all got in line. 🤦‍♀️

Meanwhile, House Rs have passed a total of 6 bills that have been enacted. But the stupid hearings for no reason never end.

They're trying to use countless investigations against Biden to hurt him in the eye's of voters like they did to Clinton before the 2016 election. I think it will backfire on them this time.

It’s actually double good news for VA. Not only did the Trumpy R lose to a better candidate, they also had a D rep lose his primary to a better candidate.

“What's happening: Democratic state Sen. Joe Morrissey and GOP state Sen. Amanda Chase, both of whom cultivated bombastic personas at the Capitol, lost primary challenges to candidates who pitched themselves as drama-free alternatives.

Why it matters: For Democrats, Morrissey's loss to former Del. Lachrecse Aird in Petersburg suggests abortion continues to motivate voters — something party leaders are counting on heading into November.

On the GOP side, Chase's loss to former state Sen. Glen Sturtevant in Chesterfield signals the party's voters might be ready to move past Trump, who has been disastrous for Republicans' fortunes in Virginia.

By the numbers: Aird's victory over Morrissey wasn't even close. She captured just under 70% of the vote.

    • Sturtevant's victory over Chase was narrower, winning by just two points in a three-way race that also included party activist Tina Ramirez.”

Nearly 100 letters containing a mysterious white powder were addressed to Donald Trumpand several Republican lawmakers in Kansas, according to officials.

At least two Republican politicians from the state said they received a letter from someone who referred to themselves as “your secret despirer”. The term is likely a play on the word despise.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation said the letters “containing suspicious white powder” have been received across the state of Kansas and sent for testing to determine the components of the substance.

It said approximately 100 letters have been received as of Sunday and law enforcement and hazmat teams were working to safely collect the letters and investigate the incidents.…..

    Uh oh. Cat fight!

This new generation of trump supporting Congress Folk is certainly a different type of Republican.

Women in their twenties and thirties, and black men in their twenties and thirties. Two demographics that the Democrats long took for granted.

If they bring the spirit of deliberately reaching out to women and blacks, they will strengthen the Republican Party voter base greatly.

If they can do that before they scratch each other's eyes out, of course.

I don't care what race, sex/gender, religion or whatever they are, if they act like these 2 nuts, they're nuts too. I'd rather we have sane people running things in Congress.

Like no male congressman ever called another male congressman "you bastage." We hear about this one because it is a couple of relatively young females.

Not surprising in Virginia, where school board cover up rapes by a male student who put on a skirt to go into the girls restroom.
Nope, we discussed that case thoroughly. You are not characterizing what happened honestly, probably because you read about it on a right wing extremist site. So you can just give up trying to spread the lies told about that incident.

Eh, what's notable to me is it's between two people who you'd think would be allies. They're both bat guano nuts and really shouldn't be members of Congress. Their actions over the last couple of years make that abundantly clear.

I live in Virginia and that's a complete mischaracterization of that situation.

I thought that there were thick as thieves at one point and had a major falling out
