I guess it's time to start a thread for this. We know that at least 140 members of Congress have pledged to join the objection. Under federal law, if at least one member of each house (HOR and Senate) objects, each house will adjourn the joint session for their own session (limited at two hours) to take up the objection. If both houses pass a resolution objecting to the EC result, further action can take place. If both houses do not (i.e. if one or neither passes a resolution), the objection is powerless and the college result is certified.

Clearly this is political theater as we know such a resolution will not pass the House, and there's good reason to think it wouldn't pass the Senate either (with or without the two senators from Georgia). The January 6 joint session is traditionally a ceremonial one. This one will not be.

Many traditional pillars of Republican support have condemned the plan as futile and damaging. Certainly the Trump loyalists don't care - and many are likely doing it for fundraising purposes or to carry weight with the fraction of their constituencies that think this is a good idea.

Lmao, not one person here has said they want to keep anything hidden. I'm happy they released the entire video. People being violent and then walking around like normal 10 minutes later isn't proof they weren't violent. Just look at the time stamps and when those idiots acted out.

And this isn't going to change a thing in terms of prosecuting violent actors. The courts already have access to the video footage relevant to their case.

The cops were part of the supposed insurrection? Which ones were arrested or indicted? Which cops were coordinating with the Proud Boys?

How does one identify someone from a still frame of a video when you can't even see his face? What's the guy's name who he supposedly identified? Does circling an unidentifiable person on a picture mean it was debunked?

Showing more of the videos that you clearly want to keep hidden isn't justifying anything. Why are you so against people seeing more of the videos?

It's all security footage. All security footage has date-time stamped into it. Ask yourself, why does none of the video I posted here have date-time stamps? Why would someone remove that information?

As I've referenced on here several times previously, I know two people who traveled up there overnight from Florida with weapons and body armor and with the specific intent of preventing Biden from taking office. I actually posted about that on here the morning of January 6th prior to shirt going crazy, saying that I thought things were about to be really bad.

It's inarguable that it was an insurrection and this other crap is just an agenda driven attempt at muddying the waters because the reality is either too bad or too uncomfortable to admit.. for whatever reasons.

The group who posted that tweet has spent the last 2-2.5 years analyzing any available photos and videos of the insurrection. They have catalogued hundreds of people. And identified a great deal of them. They are not relying on a single frame. Even if they don’t know the person’s name they can identify them by hats, clothing, patches, weapons etc. They can follow where certain people went and what they did. I would definitely give them credibility. They know this stuff. They took it personally that these people tried to take away their votes. As do I.

On that day nobody was 100% sure what just happened. Now, however, we know for sure. There were definitely some people who were just rioting, just for the hell of it. But there were also a whole lot of people who intended to prevent the peaceful transfer of power that day. That’s indisputable at this point in time.

i know some people who were there (my daughters good friends grandparents who are super MAGA). They made it to the front steps of the Capitol towards the end. they posted on their Facebook that they couldn't believe that the Govt would fire rubber bullets on US Citizens.

Yeah those two I'm talking about made it up to the balcony I believe. They have not been arrested and no black SUVs that I'm aware of. My immediate reaction was to report them but ultimately decided not to.

I don't really ask and don't have a relationship with him myself.. I imagine he hasn't changed much with that stuff but I honestly don't know the answer.
