Former President D. Trump has been indicted by a New York Grand Jury. There will be much to talk about on this topic because this is just the first step in a lengthy process.
Possibly it is worthy of its own thread here rather than posting about Trump's indictment in already existing threads?

The cell phone data seems to prove Fanni lied.

It shows clearly that Wade was visiting her at Yeardi's condo when she was living there, and these were visits that took place from 11pm to 4am. The phone data shows calls from her to Wade, then Wade's phone pinging cell towers between his home and hers, then it shows him going home 3 to 4 hours later.

This happened on more than one occasion during a time before she claims their relationship started, and at a home that she claimed that Wade never visited her at, and it happened during prime booty call hours.

None of this has anything to do with whether or not Trump is guilty, but Fanni is in trouble for her attempted cover up.

The fact that she hasn't stepped back from this case is bothering me more than it should.

I read the other day that the next person in line is a Republican who may not even bother continuing the case.

Once again, Trumps law team does something so incredibly stupid that you have to question whether or not they are actively working against him.

    In short:

Trump filed a motion in the documents case asking to several counts to be dismissed because he designated those documents as personal records, pursuant to the Presidential Records Act, before bringing them down to Mar-A-Lago.

The problem? The PRA does not allow the President to “designate” records as presidential or personal. In fact, it explicitly defines what a presidential and a personal record are. So, the motion will ultimately be dismissed.

BUT…Jack Smith now has a court filing, sworn and signed by Trumps team, admitting that he intentionally brought those records with him.

I heard George Conway say on a podcast that under GA law there isn’t any just replacing her. Her whole office would be withdrawn and it would be up to another county to start over. So the case would go away. He also said there isn’t anything here that has any effect on the facts of the case and therefore she shouldn’t be recused. It’s not even close.

His POV is this - “I hate everybody here.” Willis and Wade for being reckless, the defense attorneys for being mendacious, the judge for not controlling this case better and turning it into a side show.

If she lied on the stand about when they started seeing each other, then there are ways to handle that. But it doesn’t make a bit of difference to the case even if they started seeing each other earlier than she said. There’s still no proof she hired him to profit in any way, she tried to get other people hired first. There’s no proof he isn’t doing a good job, in fact George said the work has been good. He’s a good attorney. So this whole thing should have just been referred to whatever ethics board would have oversight. The judge should have never let the defense attorneys do this the way they did. It’s meaningless to the case.

If you decide you're going to prosecute a former President/Presidential nominee.. especially Trump.. especially now.. you really had better have your own house in order with none of the shady shirt.

shirt like this is perfect for Trump to exploit.

We shouldn’t believe this spurious cell phone angle. For one thing it can’t prove he was at her house, it’s not that accurate. For another thing the DA’s office says that for several of the dates they have put forth cell phone data, Willis wasn’t at home that night, according to her calendar.

The information is makes it pretty obvious that he was going to her home, especially since the phone call records show them talking right before and after the trips. There is one call where he is talking to her for the duration of his trip to her home.

12,000 text in a year, 36 per day. I forget how many phone calls, but i think it was something like 12 per day. For almost the whole year before she claimed they started a relationship.

At some point we have to stop making excuses.

There will still be much more evidence to come.

If some prosecutor decides to go after Willis, they will get access to license plate camera data that will remove any doubt about where Wade was at.

It shouldn’t be allowed. It’s not a conflict of interest. Also, how did they obtain this cell phone data? Will cell carriers just divulge this without a warrant? Because there wasn’t a warrant.

I am only talking about Willis and her lying under oath. I don't know or care whether the evidence is admissible to court. This isn't a criminal trial of Willis anyway, but this information will be eventually properly obtained by whatever prosecutor wins the race to be the one to take her down.

There is no doubt way more evidence out there that will show Willis lied, or show she didn't. The license plate camera data will be something else that can be obtained in a potential prosecution.

    And there’s this:

There's no getting around the fact that what Willis did was reckless and stupid. She's a DA. She should be more situationally aware and not messed around during the most significant case of her career. It's a question of competency when a DA can't keep their house in order during this case.

Whether it's disqualifying or not isn't the issue. The issue is that this is having to be asked at all. And that is entirely on Willis.

Instead of talking about the facts of the case and what Trump did, we're wasting time talking about what Willis did.

And you know the results will be questioned to no end if she stays on and whatever decision is rendered.

Only if people let the defense get away with that. They’re throwing a Hail Mary, it’s not related to the case. We all shouldn’t let them do this.

I don't know or care whether the evidence is admissible to court.
Well, do you know or care if it’s even real or accurate? You’re passing judgment without knowing anything except what the defense claims they have.

Yea, i'm assuming the phone data is accurate. It it isn't that is very easy to prove.
