What will happen now that former President Donald Trump was found guilty (in 34 counts) by the jury?
    *
Speculation on the judge relating to sentencing?
    *
    Appeals?
    *
    Political Damage?

Donald Trump’s key supporters are urging him to prosecute and jail Alvin Bragg, the Manhattan district attorney who led the criminal case resulting in his felony conviction, if the former president recaptures the White House in November.

The push to target Bragg, a Democrat, is being led by Steve Bannon, who served as Trump’s White House strategist early in his first term and is himself being prosecuted by the same district attorney over allegations that he defrauded donors to a scheme to fund a wall along the US-Mexico border.

It comes amid consistent signals from Trump that he plans to prosecute his political adversaries, including Joe Biden, if he returns to power. Republicans have further whetted Trump’s appetite for legal retribution by pushing the storyline that the Biden administration has “weaponised” the US justice department to deliberately persecute the ex-president.

“Of course [Bragg] should be – and will be – jailed,” Bannon told Axios.……

Lol, Bannon? The guy who basically has to abide by his agreement to make reparations or go to jail himself? Oh sure, listen to that moron, and chronic liar.

It's the only election strategy that the Democrats have

    2. Alvin Bragg boasted on the campaign trail in an overwhelmingly Democrat county, “It is a fact that I have sued Trump over 100 times.”

    3. "Most importantly, the DA’s charges against Trump push the outer boundaries of the law and due process."

    4. "The charges against Trump are obscure, and nearly entirely unprecedented. In fact, no state prosecutor — in New York, or Wyoming, or anywhere — has ever charged federal election laws as a direct or predicate state crime, against anyone, for anything. None. Ever."

    5. The DA inflated misdemeanors past the statute of limitations and "electroshocked them back to life" by alleging the falsification of business records was committed 'with intent to commit another crime.'

    6. "Inexcusably, the DA refused to specify what those unlawful means actually were — and the judge declined to force them to pony up — until right before closing arguments. So much for the constitutional obligation to provide notice to the defendant of the accusations against him in advance of trial."

    7. "In these key respects, the charges against Trump aren’t just unusual. They’re bespoke, seemingly crafted individually for the former president and nobody else."

    8. "The Manhattan DA’s employees reportedly have called this the “Zombie Case” because of various legal infirmities, including its bizarre charging mechanism. But it’s better characterized as the Frankenstein Case, cobbled together with ill-fitting parts into an ugly, awkward, but more-or-less functioning contraption that just might ultimately turn on its creator."

There is something about young George. Almost everyone who got to know him liked him. He is super likable. Afable.

Stuck up for the decant Islamic people, did go after the terrorists.

Other than that, I disliked him a lot, but that was politics, George W is however a real nice guy at home, and about.

I didn't like him as a president but he would make a real good neighbor.

Molly Ivins went to high school with George W, and she liked him on a personal level, they were friends. But she didn't like his politics, he didn't like hers, but they could still talk about old times, and hang out together.

"Of President Reagan, she once told the Progressive: "I have been collecting euphemisms used on television to suggest that our only president is so dumb that if you put his brains in a bee, it would fly backwards." For Bush Jr., she reserved her utmost scorn -- compiling two books -- "Shrub: The Short but Happy Political Life of George W. Bush" and "Bushwhacked" -- chock full of famous missteps and malapropisms from the leader of the most powerful nation in the world."
Scorned his politics she did, and Ronald Reagan as well, but they were all adults about it: The Convicted Felon is not an adult, nor is he a nice guy.

Convicted Felon is like a case of gaseous gangrene, he a terrible infection in the body politic Republican. The Convicted Felon is leading the GOP straight to Siberia.

As a party it will probably kill them, they'll disband. If not the best outcome would be a several year reorganization period.

I'm saying that would be the ideal best case. Rebuilding from scratch. But don't get me wrong, I don't feel any sorrow whatsoever for the GOP's horrible situation.

Shrug! Shrub! And an F-105 Thunderchief. Shrub actually flew one of these, didn't have bone spurs. Wasn't in combat but he did serve. And his father served.

It's really hard for you to talk about the subject at hand huh?

What a great detailed reply. Do you feel gulity at all for supporting a Biden who is enabling the Israeli genocide?

You support a rapist, and con-man. Why would a Trump supporter ever try to invoke the morality card.

EARTH TO SFL, You can't use the "holier than thou" card when you support a convicted felon.

No, I don’t feel guilty because I don’t agree that is what is happening.

I don’t actually think you give a **** about Palestinians because nothing about your participation here suggests you have any empathy or compassion towards others outside of what is momentarily convenient to whatever BS you’re peddling.

Denial isn't just a river in Egypt. Israel is definitely committing genocide and anyone supporting Israel or funding them has blood on their hands.

Um, I'm the one of the few or only antiwar people here. You are just mad that you are getting called out Biden enabling genocide.

Have you seen any pictures or videos of the children killed in Gaza?

It seems like you need better news sources that aren't so baised towards Israel based on your posts in this thread. You are woefully uninformed on what's actually happening there.

Where's the lie? I don't watch much a Maddow other than clips on youtube once in a while. But this was on point.

The only thing I slightly disagree with her on is that our system is strong. I think overall it has held up, but there are definitely weakness in judges like Cannon, the 5th Cricut and the SC.

so you admit he is guily..
I would love to see precedence of a criminal case where the defendant used 'well, others have done iand not got convictedt, why should i get in trouble?" and the Judge and Jury were like, "you got us, so your are not guilty!!"
Do you use that philosophy in all phases of yuor life or only when taking up for billionaires?
No I didn't admit he was guilty. He's gulity of paying off a porn star, but not of the rigged charges.

The point that none of yall want to talk about is Presidents have done plenty of illegal things like illegal wars that killed millions, illegally spying on Americans, etc but Democrats think those things were okay, but paying off a porn star was just a bridge to far. Its comical

There was an appeal to the SC about your argument. The difference between official acts as president that have immunity vs personal/private acts that don't have immunity.

You are trying to conflate to the two, and that's not going to work.

Oh, I didn’t realize you are anti-Putin. I’ll pay closer attention to you calling out his aggressions. Promise.

The Hamas-Israel war is based on a far more complex set of circumstances than yelling genocide and blaming Biden.

You don’t care about Palestinians. You don’t care about Ukrainians. You don’t sincerely care about people. But you’re certainly free to pretend that you do.
