Jeremiah 1:5 says - allegedly Yahweh speaking - “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” So, the reasoning goes something like, your soul exists before egg and sperm meet, and therefore you are even before conception, and you must be born to proselytize.
I can't afford another kid as well as many of my friends. Get clipped or tied up. Maybe make that procedure free instead of abortions?
There are other options but it is telling that the alt-lefts first go to is to destroy the innocent.
Men can have babies now too MT15, or are you saying that only women with eggs can discuss and be pregnant?
I have a second cousin who has gone through pregnancy and given birth.
He changed his name, but before he changed his name, his name was Cathy.
So if you listened to him tell his story, the story you would hear is pretty much the usual story about that.
It's usually kind of gross, and when I heard his story it was as usually gross as is usual.
Here is an example of something that is a complication of pregnancy and childbirth. It’s a whole thread and well worth the minute or 90 seconds it will take to read the whole thing.
My own daughter had twins in February at 36 weeks because she developed pre-eclampsia, which if allowed to progress is life-threatening. One week to the day after birth her blood pressure skyrocketed again, she was luckily spending her days at the hospital helping to take care of her babies when she had her symptoms. They were able to take her blood pressure and transport her down to the Emergency Dept. very quickly. She spent three days back in the hospital while they tried to control it and prevent her from having a stroke.
This isn’t all that uncommon. Had she been home alone, I shudder to think what might have happened.
Forcing women to go through pregnancy and childbirth against their will is to say they are not actual human beings with full rights of bodily autonomy. People who do so are choosing a potential life over an actual living, breathing person. They are saying that women aren’t really fully autonomous human beings, but are merely “earthen vessels” as a particularly clueless politician recently put it.
No. Plan B is abortion, IMO.That's a great first step. We should also make all forms of birth control free and easily accessible, including Plan B. While we are at it, comprehensive, mandatory, and age-appropriate health and sex-ed classes should be taught in every public school from middle school through senior year. That should drastically decrease unwanted pregnancies. Are you on board?
Sure there it. A form of birth control and convenienceAgain, bullshirt. If abortions and childbirth were even REMOTELY as dangerous as each other there'd be no push to keep abortion legal.
It means it is the beginning of human life. It does not fit your definition, so when, to you, does life begin? When should abortion be illegal?Does that mean it has life?

https://www.webmd.com/sex/birth-control/features/birth-control-vs-abortion said:Emergency Contraception
Emergency contraception is a type of birth control, not an abortion. “It disrupts ovulation or stops fertilization of the already released egg. It does not cause an abortion of an already fertilized egg,” says Nicole Williams, MD, a gynecologic surgeon at The Gynecology Institute of Chicago.
One type of emergency contraception is pills like Plan B and Ella, which prevent sperm from reaching and fertilizing an egg. You can also use a copper IUD as emergency contraception by preventing the sperm and egg from connecting, fertilizing, and implanting in the uterus.
Also, as a Catholic you should know that getting clipped or tied is against your religious doctrine and is a mortal sin. Your only recourse for avoiding pregnancy as a Catholic is Natural Family Planning.
Have they not already? Thou shall not kill is codified in our law. Thou shall not steal is codified in our law. Adultery, although never prosecuted is codified.
You conveniently left out most of the rest.

The only way I would be on board with the public school teaching students sex ed is if they are legally required to drop the gender theory/LGTB aspect completely. I mean 100% and criminal charges on the school district/super and teachers that break that and the parents have full and complete transparency. Are you on board?
Do you have a point or are you just using this as a point 'own the religious'?Oh, but if you are a Catholic, you can still do this and get that magical "get out of jail free card" called confession, right?
Makes perfect sense....
We have been down this road. You ask for me to prove a scientific debate as if that means my position is untenable all the while, you never seem to answer my questions. Can you demonstrate this at all or are you just going to assert it with zero evidence?
What about my opinion is not true?Your opinion doesn't match the truth. Which wins out in your mind?
