I agree with you latter point, but your 1st is an example of why so many despises trump and his staunch supporters. The POTUS is supposed to be better than the rest of us but instead, he has shown, time and again, that not only is he the worst of us, he embraces it along with his supporters. Those rally goers love to say "he's just tell'n it like it is!", how about for once telling it like we aspire to be! Instead of growth as a nation, he prefers to go backwards. He has zero interest in being the POTUS, he's only interested in the approval of his supporters and to the rest of us, he couldn't care less.Sure, Trump is an egomaniacal douche bag.... but some of you are pompously reveling in this.... and I am just chiming in to say...
Anyone that does that gets put on the equal and oppose Trump-Like level (IMO) for doing so... your political ideals shouldn't be a personality trait... and you should be better than that... *digressing*
I personally think he's full of it... and doesn't have Covid at all.... and for whatever reason, he thinks he can use this situation to his advantage prior to the election....
It can be normalizing them. In the sense that there is some behaviour that is so egregious that it's inevitable that it would bring some, or many, to wish for the suffering or death of the protagonist, to oppose that reaction is to attempt to normalise the behaviour, relatively speaking, to behaviour that doesn't invoke that response.
A lot of that is inadvertent of course - for example, when the reason for opposing the expression of that reaction is to apply forum standards, or to call for higher standards generally. But I think it is a valid point to make that there are genuine, human, reasons to feel that way and that it's important to acknowledge them.
For some there is no greater sign of their righteousness and credibility than equivocating the left with the most monstrous incarnations of the right because they don’t act with their privilege of being able to treat politics like a gentleman’s game without consequences. We’ll just have to ... wait for it... agree to disagree.
anyone who could type the words above with a straight face that you typed, that my response to this bull shirt artist Trump- MY response is somehow ‘Trumpian’.. well, i give up.. You do you, pal.. again, not criticizing YOU personally- but some of y’alls posts today are completely out of touch, IMO.
Boo, you know better.
C'mon guys.
Good news, everybody. Want to feel the best you've felt in decades? Just ignore all health protocols and get yourself some of that sweet CODID nectar!
Mix a little bit of oxygen with some experimental antibody treatments, hardcore steroid and a little car ride, with all the best medical care that your $750 in tax money can buy, and you'll be right as rain.
/sarcasm off, it is hard to imagine this guy making his administration's response to this pandemic worse by getting the virus, but he probably will.
He'll be miraculously cured by next week saying it was no worse than the flu and everyone should go back to normal life.
There’s a reason I haven’t been here since the week it opened. It brings out the worst in me.

I have no idea who you’re planning to vote for, and i dont really need to know.. But if a lot of voters think along the lines of some of your posts today- then please dont be surprised if the Trump Crime Family gets elected (or strong arms it way) into 4 more years of rule.
Frankly I’m less concerned with the reactions of those hoping for harm than I am about their reaction to the people that don’t. The constant childish catch phrases and over-the-top unhinged rants about how we should all be burning incense to the the gods of vengeance is disturbing and says a lot about how broken we are as a people.
No one on here is wishing him death,...
There are some people the world is better without. Wishing/praying/chanting for that world to come about isn't an 'over the top unhinged rant'. It's hoping for a better world. Addition by subtraction.
I despise Trump. I often say I’d scrape a dead armadillo off the side of the road, put it in a suit and prop it up behind the Resolute Desk before I’d vote for Trump. I’ll be voting for Biden, proudly, but I’d vote for literally anyone over Trump and frankly over the last 4 years I’ve lost a lot of respect for people that I used to respect who support him.
I have lost that respect because of the lack of dignity and humanity they have shown. I’m not willing to become them, no matter how much that offends you guys.
Well apparently that makes you no different than Hitler, congrats.I am. Absolutely. Same as I did for OBL and the Ayatollah, back in the day.
He's writing Biden's campaign slogans this last month at this point.
What drugs have been developed under his admin? I don't think the plasma counts, but even if so, did the government develop it or encourage it?
"this morphine is great! Never felt more alive. I love everyone!"
