This could go in several threads but deserves one of its own. Apparently, the suspect got into the home and was looking for the Speaker. The police saw some of the attack and the spouse is in surgery. Social media accounts point to him being an election denier. This is pretty forked up.

Plenty of people don't like Nancy Pelosi. This guy was swallowing right-wing talking points, though. Stolen election, Qanon, and associated rhetoric are the territory of the far-right. Why do you feel the need to distance this guy from the right so much? Nobody on the left has any problem condemning the guy that shot Scalise and others.
