The middle makes the difference once again. Why?

McAuliffe made an error with the school issue to appease the CRT crowd. A costly strategic error.

On another note CNN described Michelle Wu a moderate as the first woman of color to be mayor. The media recruiting minorities.

source? and don't post a youtube opinion video or opinion article about it, post some statistical data to support this opinion that you have
    Here you go:

You can also find lists of colleges that teach social justice and activism.

"The Social Justice, Intersectionality, and Heteronormativity Lab within the Department of Counseling, Higher Education, and Special Education at the University of Maryland, College Park investigates the ways in which privileged social status in terms of race, class, gender, sexual orientation, and (dis)ability result in discriminatory attitudes and behaviors among mental health professionals. Key values and skills that are embraced within our lab include open dialogue, shared decision-making, inclusivity, support, collaboration, self-awareness, and critical consciousness development."

In every university, this sentence would be marked with [citation needed].

"Despite what you may see in the headlines, the truth is that the world's in relatively good shape: in fact, we're living through the best era in human history. Fewer people are dying from illness and violence than ever. War is rarer than it ever has been. Child labor is going down, and more and more children are growing up to have educated, happy, fulfilled lives."

I don't have time to read a 30 page pdf but skimming it seems to talk about enrollment ratios of (D) to (R)

    As for the other link:
I counted a grand total of 17 on that list. how many colleges are there in all of the US?
I googled it for you: There were 3,982 degree-granting postsecondary institutions in the U.S. as of the 2019-2020 school year, according to the National Center for Education Statistics.

So how does 17 out of 3,982 equate to "Many colleges are now operating on a rigid orthodoxy that puts massive emphasis on the left. "

That's not the part of your quote that needed a citation. Yes, capitalism has greatly reduced poverty in the world.

The claim you made that needs support is that this is somehow not acknowledged in universities.

Paul, this is a very telling admission. It tells more about you than I think you realize.
    It does doesnt it?

    1. Unfairly applies preconceived labels on another individual.
    2. Accuses others of "tribalism" when in fact he is guilty of it.
    3. Is scared to express one's true opinion.
    4. Aim to please and morphs one's self for that purpose.
    5. Lacks original thoughts. Lacks critical thinking.
    6. Lacks self awareness.

All gathered from one admission. And it shows from the posting history. "I know nothing" with one wave of the left hand while claiming he knows more than believers of Christ as he is waving the other.

I dont know how you do it MT. You and Rob have the patience of a parent calming an unruly child.

I suspect that someone that has the intellect to be a humanities or social science professor has some brains and they likely know capitalism is the engine that produces wealth. However, they preach that we live in a system full of inequality and that capitalism is the culprit. Just google social justice universities and see what you get Brandon.

Your confirmation bias is noted. All of us have some of that so there is no loss of honor.
    Carry on!

The question that begs an answer is why universities offer Social Justice and Activism as majors?
    Why shouldn't they?

The free market dictates that if there's a market for something, someone will produce it and make a profit from it.

Exactly! So why deny there is a bias to the left in the humanities and social sociology faculties in college.

Another question that begs an answer is: What skills do a Social Justice major has to compete in the work force (other than being an activist)?
I would venture to say that is the dark dishonest side of capitalism. Those running the universities have increased tuition at a pace that is much greater than inflation by providing garbage majors.

Because there are plenty of majors at colleges that aren't social justice and activism? Balance is not bias?

What skills do a Social Justice major has to compete in the work force (other than being an activist)?
Job skills have never been a requirement for a major in our education system. Even so, I'm sure there are plenty of applications, including but not limited to:

    1. Politician
    2. Community Engagement Officer (or some variant) for a corporation
    3. History teacher/professor with emphasis on African-American studies, social justice, etc.
    4. Corporate Equity Trainer/Human Resources Equity Officer

I would say there's a huge market for Social Justice majors in our country, as it fills a desperate need in our society.

Those are bureaucratic jobs that produce ZERO wealth. If anything they reduce the global wealth. I am reminded of the Political commissar in the communist party in the USSR.

your .pdf was from (according to wiki) Econ Journal Watch is a semiannual peer-reviewed electronic journal established in 2004. It is published by the Fraser Institute.

according to the internet, which who knows if valid or not:

    1. The Fraser Institute’s research wing was created with money from tobacco companies. The Institute’s “Social Affairs Centre”, set up to promote “free-market” policies on tobacco, guns, and drug use was funded by tobacco giants Rothman’s and Phillip Morris. In 1999, the Fraser Institute wrote letters to British American Tobacco begging for more funding, highlighting reports they had done to discredit science around the harms of second-hand smoke.

    2. The Fraser Institute was a leading opponent of anti-smoking laws, and promoted junk science that denied the harmful effects of second-hand smoke. The Institute, funded by Big Tobacco, produced numerous “studies” that attempted to discredit scientific research on smoking. In particular, the Institute worked to undermine public perception of second-hand smoke. While proven to be harmful, the Institute published numerous reports claiming that second-hand smoke was safe.

    3. The Fraser Institute has taken over one million dollars (at least) from the Koch Brothers. The billionaire Koch brothers are known to Canadians as the Republican donors who bankrolled the Tea Party and other far-right American groups. But they also have their tentacles in Canada, and the Fraser Institute is one of their servants, receiving at least one million dollars of Koch money. In 2012 the Vancouver Observer reported that “according to U.S. tax documents, The Fraser Institute received $150,000 from the Charles G. Koch Charitable Foundation in 2008, $175,500 in 2009, and another $150,000 in 2010. The grants were purportedly for “research support” and “educational programs”.

    4. The Fraser Institute takes millions of dollars in dark money from foreign organizations. Beyond the Koch Brothers, the Fraser Institute has a large network of rightwing American funders. Over the years, they have accepted millions of dollars from these sources. While the Institute no longer reveals their large donors, external documents show that they have taken more than $2.6 million from rightwing groups and corporations.

    5. The Fraser Institute has taken hundreds of thousands of dollars from Big Oil. One of the Fraser Institute’s benefactors has been oil giant ExxonMobil. Exxon has given the Fraser Institute at least $120,000. Apparently it’s money well-spent. The Institute is one of the leading Canadian voices of climate change denial. They have published multiple documents denying climate change, including one which put their position clearly: “There is no clear evidence, nor unique attribution, of the global effects of anthropogenic CO2 on climate.”

    6. The Fraser Institute supports huge tax cuts for the 1% and corporations, but opposes a higher minimum wage for workers. One of the Fraser Institute’s biggest issues is the minimum wage. They hate it. But at the same time, they support measures that would greatly increase income for the very rich. For example, the Institute supports reducing or abolishing the corporate tax (taxes corporations pay) and the capital gains tax (taxes that people pay when they get capital income, like when CEOs cash in stock options). Both of these changes would massively benefit the rich. But when it comes to working people, the Fraser Institute opposes policies to increase wages by even a few bucks.

    7. The Fraser Institute attempts to indoctrinate elementary and high school students. Every year the Fraser Institute runs an essay contest which directs primary and secondary school students to submit an essay on a policy topic. Some school boards even promote the contest in classrooms. The Institute strongly suggests that winning submissions conform to rightwing ideology. For example, this year’s contest asked students to explain why the minimum wage was a “misguided” idea and suggested students consult a video called “Minimum wage hikes in Canada: Bad idea” to understand the issue.

Somehow I am not surprised this was coming.
    Kill the messenger!!!

Police officers produce no wealth. Firefighters produce no wealth. Teachers produce no wealth. The military produces no wealth.

And yet, they allow others to be able to produce wealth.

Good point in replying to my hyperbole Brandon. I see a need for the above, however, I see no need for the Political commissar. That is an opinion Brandon. I would hate to be in an environment that is policed in such manner. I can also understand why you like that as the left favors a much greater role of the government in our lives and choices. I tend to be a bit of a libertarian and that sort of control is not of my liking.

CM, they can ban what they do not like and favor what they like. Some consumers do not have a clue.

Which has nothing to do with your original premise. I swear, following you from statement to statement is like watching a hyper kitten chase a laser pointer.
