The biggest problem for black poor people is not the KKK. I suspect people in the poor neighborhoods of Baltimore hardly ever come in contact with white people or someone with a white hood. Nope. The vast majority of your racist white nationalists were shamed into hiding in the 1960s until Obama became President. Then the Tea Party became popular in Republican circles as a racist reaction to Obama.

And when Trump entered politics and won the Republican nomination in 2016, these racists became even more vocal and dangerous. They knew Trump was "one of them" because of his bullshirt lies about Obama being a Muslim born in Kenya and the terrible things he said about Mexicans and Muslims. You act like all racists wear their hoods when they are shopping for groceries.

Even at the height of lynching's in the US, KKK members didn't wear their hoods to church, or in town. That was the whole point of their hoods, they were cowards.

There are plenty of white supremacists who interact with black people every day without burning crosses in their yards. Some of them even pretend to be centrists warning us about tribalism.
