I figured we needed a thread specifically about the media.

There was a very big correction recently by the Washington Post.

That story was supposedly "independently confirmed" by CNN, NBC News, USA Today, ABC News, & PBS News Hour. How could they all have gotten the quote wrong if they actually independently confirmed the story?

Why do all the errors always go in one political direction and not closer to 50/50?

I remember Glenn's past. I have him down as someone who completely lost their mind through addiction to conspiracy theory. A pity.

    A sad thing.
Look at his articles from when he 1st became a journalist. His views haven't changed. The Democrat Party views and unconditional support for the US security state and forever wars is what's changed.

Bullschlitz as usual. Your understanding of global geopolitics is severely stunted and naive.

As for the media? Where is the reporting on the stupidity and cognitive decline of Trump?

Why do you hate America…sorry, why do you support those who want to destroy America.

I'm not interested in someone who I'm not interested in. I've know of him since he was with that British somewhat overly liberal rag. A conspiracy theory kind of independent press. It might have even been called the independent. Or maybe it was the Guardian.

I ignore both of them most of the time.

Your statement kind of implies that *I* am subject to change, imply it is my view not reality which has changed or evolved.

Goodness no, I'm here to inform you *I* still have the same 1968 points of view now, that I developed way back in 1968 when I was nine. That was the crook Nixon vs Hubert Humphrey year. I remember that well.

I really liked Humphrey, my parents like him after all. I was truly heartbroken, I had high hopes that every one of those electoral college graduates would see fit to vote in Humphere after all. They didn't, not even one of them as I recall.

Here's an old iconic painting of Hubert out with some girl:

    for what it's worth

My girlfriend just watched over an hour of local news. Said Biden and his post debate troubles was talked about for less than a minute
That is what I'm finding as well. There was a brief flurry of reports when Biden sent his letter to Congress, but that was new news, not old tired hat.

The American electorate has the attention span and critical thinking ability of a gnat on speed.

I somewhat disagree here at great risk of being proven wrong. But I think women and POC have been clear-eyed throughout this entire debate flap. I think they are letting their D reps and senators know they want them to knock it off and support Biden against Trump. I think people in general are letting NYT and WaPo know that they need to focus just as much time on Trump being unfit for office as they do Biden. I think the donors and the political pundits will come around.

In this case I think the American electorate said - enough of this crap. Move on to the real danger posed by Trump.

I sent off a letter to Adam Schiff this morning. I informed him that I was upset with him, that come November if I couldn't find Biden / Harris on my ballot, that I will will not be able to find his name on that same ballot.

This is a massive voter problem: 75% of voters think he's [Biden] too old.
This isn't something that the media cooked up. This is something that the media largely ignored for years, as voters raised their hand and said 'Ooo I'm worried about this thing.'"

The media by not covering the story, covered for Biden. Mainstream media members are desperately throwing Biden under the bus to salvage any remaining credibility. It's not going to make a difference, but by all means, continue throwing Biden under the bus.

Waiting for you to comment on Trump’s psychotic cognitive decline. Ranting about sharks, battery powered boats, a fictional character that ate people and so on ad nauseum.

I'm in Schiff's district, so at first I was like "you can't vote for him over there anyhow." Then I remembered he's running for the Senate. I didn't vote in the primaries, because I'm not a member of any party.

I'm laughing with you about this. That is funny.
