Looks like the fight is on with Israeli soldiers and civilians amongst the dead already. Question becomes, how long before we get dragged into this?

In the wellspring of sadness, anger and fear that has gripped Israel since that day, a consensus has emerged that Israel needs to take a harder line with the Palestinians and embrace an even more militarized state. And while public opinion of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is faltering, support for the policies upheld by his right-wing government is growing.

If the left has lost mainstream support, Israel’s peace camp has been driven virtually underground. Activist groups say many members have abandoned the cause, and those who remain committed have struggled to find public places willing to accommodate antiwar protests.

The few calls for a cease-fire, which have gained traction with the public, have been driven by the families of Israeli hostages abducted to Gaza on Oct. 7. Those families have asked the government to pause the fighting to negotiate a return of their loved ones. While those calls grew stronger this week after the Israeli army announced it had mistakenly killed three hostages, most of the families have stressed that they broadly support the war effort, and think it is necessary.

According to polls conducted in the two months since Oct. 7, Israelis have moved decidedly to the right on a number of political issues, including support for settlers in the West Bank, endorsements for far-right politicians, and even the re-establishment of a military occupation of Gaza.
If Israel wants to do all these things, the US will have to quit supporting them. Of course, if Trump wins his Administration will be highly supportive of all these hard right tactics. Just another reason Biden has to win.

    No need for imagination.

A guy murdered a dozen people 5 years ago at a synagogue in Pittsburgh.
I remember this case ofc. But it feels like such cases were so isolated then and now every day if not every hour smth bad happens in the Jewish community. It's obvious that this conflict will have a huge impact on the US crime statistics in the following years.

I think the media is just giving every single one attention now.

In 2020 there were about 6 or 7 "incidents" reported every day according to the ADL

I'm sure it has ticked up recently, but not to the proportion that media coverage has increased.

Yeah, Israel is going to isolate herself.

Here are their most recent estimates, although this is just on college campuses.

“To better understand the current state of the campus climate for Jewish students, the ADL Center for Antisemitism Research (CAR), Hillel International, and College Pulse conducted a longitudinal survey of American college students before and after the Hamas terror attacks on October 7, 2023. The topline results, presented in this report, highlight concerning trends that underscore the urgent need to protect Jewish students on campus and foster an inclusive and safe educational environment for all.

Jewish students are experiencing a wave of antisemitism, and non-Jewish students are much less likely to see it.

73% of Jewish college students surveyed have experienced or witnessed some form of antisemitism since the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year alone. By comparison, 43.9% of non-Jewish students reported the same during that period. Prior to this school year, 70% of Jewish college students experienced at least some form of antisemitism throughout their entire college experience.”

It is the children…7,000 plus who have been massacred in Gaza, so many more under rubble / missing, and those like these sweet kids who will have PTSD when they should be playing outside with their friends and learning, who are the victims of terror:

looking at this video... can this even be called a town anymore?
By the time IDF is done, Gaza will be a barely habitable wasteland

Yeah, I’m in the category now that both Hamas and Israel have committed war crimes, and continue to do so. One thing I found out recently is that the reason Hamas isn’t in control of all the hostages is that on 10-7, once civilians saw there wasn’t an immediate IDF response, civilians crossed over into Israel and participated in the violence and hostage taking. Some of the hostages are being held by civilians to this day, or they have been killed and we just don’t know about it yet. What a horrible situation.

I saw at least six obvious jump cuts in the first 45 seconds of that video. Some of those cuts edited out only a few words in the middle of sentences and thoughts. I stopped watching after 45 seconds, because I can't really know what he actually said without hearing every word he actually said.

Do you have a link to an unedited version of what he said?

I looked, but I can only find that clip on X. I'm not sure if Judge Napolitano has a website with the entire version.

Feels like you didn't look very hard?

    Thanks for posting the video.

Prof. Jeffrey Sachs makes claims that are objectively known to not be accurate in the first couple of minutes of the video. He doesn't seem credible to me and a lot of his opinions are based on claims that aren't substantiated.

He may be saying things that are true, but I'm not going to take just his word on anything.

As my post said, I couldn't find the full version on X. I didn't look on YouTube.

Did I look harder than you when you wrongly claimed when the Proximal Orgins study was first published?
