    Anyone have any predictions?

If I had to put money on it, I would pick Sanders as winning.

But there will be more stories than just who wins. IMO - For Warren, Mayor Pete, and Klobuchar it could be feast or famine. A distant 5th or even 4th could effectively end a campaign. Obviously a strong 3rd, and certainly anything higher will provide a huge boost.
I think Warren might be best positioned to withstand a bad night given she has NH coming up next.

Sheesh, Bernie rep on CNN won’t answer any questions. I hate when surrogates won’t answer the questions. Happens from all the surrogates from both sides.
question: do you think the election is being rigged
Answer: I think the economy is rigged.

Don’t go on Twitter, for gods sake. There’s a full on rumble by people who say they are Bernie supporters acting like clowns about this “conspiracy” against Bernie. Never mind that he might even win when all the votes get counted. Never mind that they didn’t even use the app after all.

oh, and I quit counting after the 4th different homophobic slur against Mayor Pete. It was gawd awful. Unfollowed John Cusack because his timeline was peppered with comments (tbf from other people) that were homophobic. Nobody batted an eye about them either.

The "social" media is nothing but a bunch of crap. I don't have a single one of the apps on my phone or pad and refuse to ever log into the facebook account I had about 5 years ago. If I want to get in touch with someone the I pick up a phone and actually call them and speak to them personally.

So Bernie and Pete still tied with 10 delegates apiece. Pete with more SDEs, Bernie with more votes. It will be interesting to see if we ever get to 100% reporting.

I am not trying to be all "conspiracy theory guy" but as I understand, and if I am wrong correct me, but Pete's campaign gave tens of thousands of dollars to the software company that developed the now famed app at the center of the Iowa caucus disaster, and Oh by the way, Mayor Pete declared victory before any release of the actual counts or any actual results were released.

    That's fishy AF

I could conclude that Pete was going to be in 1st or 2nd just by aggregating the exit polling data that CNN was reporting early in the evening. I'm sure the campaigns had access to much better info than was CNN was putting out.

I don't know much about the app situation, but if it was public record that he had hired that group to do some work for his campaign, allegations of impropriety should have been brought up before the debacle. It wouldn't be unusual for campaigns to use the services of a tech company.

There isn't any evidence to suggest Pete or his campaign did anything wrong. If they had rigged the election, it wouldn't have been very smart to declare victory before the votes were counted. They would have wanted to avoid the suspicion.

Let's wrap it all back around to Hillary to get everyone fired up!

WASHINGTON (AP) — The little-known technology start-up under scrutiny after the meltdown of the Iowa Democratic caucuses on Monday was founded little more than a year ago by veterans of Hillary Clinton’s failed 2016 presidential campaign who had presented themselves as gurus of campaigning in the digital era.

Shadow Inc. was launched by ACRONYM, a nonprofit corporation founded in 2017 by Tara McGowan, a political strategist who runs companies aimed at promoting Democratic candidates and priorities. McGowan, 34, is married to Michael Halle, a senior strategist for Pete Buttigieg’s presidential campaign, which records show has also paid Shadow Inc. $42,500 for software.

So Buttigieg's senior strategist is married to the lady who founded the parent company. A parent company that provides lots of different software solutions aimed at promoting Democratic candidates and defeating Trump. I am not ready to say that Buttigieg gamed the Iowa caucuses by paying off the company for the tune of $42.5k. I would like to think it costs a lot more than that to buy an election, but I am probably wrong.

There was more going on with Tara Mcgowan than the glitchy caucuses app, according to Politico.

“People are really frustrated and skeptical about the structure that Tara has created,” said one Democratic operative, who did not want to be quoted for risk of alienation. “There’s a nonprofit and then there are for-profits below it, like a nesting doll. It’s moving money around in a way that’s unclear to people.”

Other critics acknowledge that McGowan is a talented messenger — but argue she revved up her donors on the idea that her fellow Democrats were not doing enough while getting clobbered by Trump online in order to launch ACRONYM’s $75 million anti-Trump digital program, and then has been slow to spend the money she pledged to bring to the fight.

Seems like the Buttigieg camp would be the most upset at the performance of the app, not the masterminds of its failure.

THe reason all the candidates had an idea of where they stand is the information fromt he caucus is public on boards at each precinct. They were taking photos and sending them in so they could tally themselves. This is why Biden sent a letter to the IDP saying he was upset about this and questioned the integrity of the results. he knew he did like crap and was trying to question the quality of the results.
They have a paper trail and photo trail, along with the app. They reported the paper trail so there would be no questions about the integrity. The app wasn't matching the paper totals.
He paid for other services with the company from my understanding. It would be like he bought ads on FB and now has an inside track with FB analytics because he is a paying customer.

It's now 40+ hours later and only 75% of the results are reported. Each precinct could have reported the results by telephone in two days. All of the backup paperwork could have been driven to one location in two days. Hell, someone could have probably driven out to every single precinct in two days. This is beyond an app not providing real time information at this point. What possible justification or excuse still exists for not reporting the results now?

The Democratic Party does not want to declare Sanders a Winner... AT least thats what I think anyways.

I doubt that’s it. Bernie was expected to win Iowa by almost everyone.

I just don;t think the Democrats (leadership here, cause I don't want to confuse anybody).. Don;t want Bernie to be the Nominee, so any effort to get him to drop out of gonna go forward.. Included and not limited to election failures.

Oh I totally agree the dem party doesn’t want Bernie, but he was always going to win Iowa. The Democratic Party wouldn’t have bothered trying to rig that primary. Bernie doing as expected wouldn’t cause them any problems.
