Secret Service was told at least once before Jan. 6 to preserve texts

Two emails, at least one before Jan. 6, told agency staffers to preserve records on their phones. A third in February 2021 told them to preserve communications specific to Jan. 6.

Can't blame it all on Trump but he damn sure made sure that he corrupted it completely. These are the people charged with protecting the president, vice-president and their families and there are current members who may have actively participated in a failed coup and are now covering it up.

I know they'd never do it but It'd be nice if the J6 committee bluffed on having the texts recreated by NSA and then invite those SS agents who were guarding Pence and Trump on Jan 5th and 6th to come and testify or be subpoenaed. Bluff their arses into giving up the ring leader.
