Today it begins, Kamala has reached the point that she's the Democratic Party nominee:

There's video from today. this link has video from her first public appearance since Biden endorsed her:

She spent yesterday on the telephone for most of the day. I read that yesterday that she called the party leaders in all 50 states. That would take me three days.

She's renamed her YouTube channel, that's the where to go for video: https://www.youtube.com/@kamalaharris

This is her video on her channel from two hours ago:

To play it, start it, and then move it up to 5:47. This was one of those live videos which don't start at zero.

I've named this thread General Election 2024 Harris vs Trump

Trump needs an introduction post as well, a MAGA suporter ought to write it: @Farb, @SaintForLife , @Others, calling for someone to please introduce your GOP candidate for this 2024 general election thread.

You're the only one that cares.
This is my final post for the weekend. My next post will be Tuesday. Yet let's review. YOU opted to compose a post to me and said basically: Steve you repeatedly say you are against BOTH Trump AND HARRIS yet you only post negative articles or videos related to Harris. So I told you that everyone on here was already doing a good job bashing Trump and they didn't need my help. Yet that explanation wasn't good enough FOR YOU. So, to make YOU stop implying my anti Trump declaration was phony, I created a lengthy post showing how I sincerely dislike Trump. Did you say "Thank you" or give that post a "thumbs up"? No. Did you instead shift the focus and say I am an attention seeker ? Yes. That's what YOU did. So, I am blocking you. Putting you on "ignore". Done.

I can’t believe I’m defending him, and although I totally believe he’s a racist, I’m not sure he meant it that way. In his mind anyone who worships him is “smart,” and anyone who doesn’t - not so much.
I think it was a double entendre. To some he was saying Byron Donalds is “one” of the smart black people, implying without a wink that there are few, while a more generous interpretation is that he is a smart person simply because he is a Trump supporter. You always have to consider the source of a comment. Trump has a history that doesn’t lend itself to the generous interpretation. I think that more likely it was a back-handed insult to the black community.

Yeah, I honestly took it as a dig on other members of congress.

Reminder that the piece of crap Trump campaign director promised to release video that would prove there was no physical altercation at Arlington at least 5 days ago. Still no video.

If you go by these ad buys, it looks like Trump isn’t really contesting MI, NV, AZ, NC, or WI.

With a normal campaign, that would indicate that Trump's internal polling data shows those states are a lost cause, so spending money there is a waste. Trump isn't normal, so his campaign isn't normal. It could be a decision by Trump coming from a combination of his arrogance, delusion and cheapness. However, his campaign is matching spending in GA and PA, so it just may be that Trump's internal polling shows them that they have no chance in the other states.

Trump campaign has sued Michigan for attempting to open polling sites to vote.....

At the VA for veterans.

A political party whose all about suppressing the vote in the world’s largest democracy. Real patriots, all Americans. At least that’s what they tell themselves as they slip the knife in, ”for the good of the country me”…🫤

If there’s one thing Donald Trump loves, it’s an AI-generated or photoshopped image that glorifies himself or praises his agenda.

Now, he has one showing off his ‘super’ powers and friends.

The former president added a new meme post to his Truth Social account Thursday evening – this time, a poorly photoshopped image of himself and his close allies as various DC Comics superheroes……

This just illustrates the severity of the illness…

To be fair, last week her campaign website had 0 platform or policies listed. I haven't checked since my post last week.
To be fair I posted a link to the White House where those policies are at that same time you last looked. I said where to look, you apparently didn't look.

I don't understand why folks get hung up on things like this. Those policies at the White House even have her name on them. They are the official Biden-Harris policies.

I would not be reasonable for her to change them just so she has her own. It doesn't matter if good policies are used policies. Having been used before is an indication that they are useful policies. Keep using what works.

Biden's name on them as well doesn't hurt a thing. in fact it's a better thing, he approves of them too. It's all fine and dandy.

The standout moment in Kamala Harris’s first interview as Democratic presidential nominee consisted of a mere seven words: “Same old tired playbook. Next question, please.”

That was her answer when CNN’s Dana Bash brought up Donald Trump’s recent outrageous suggestion that the vice president, who is the daughter of Indian and Jamaican parents, “happened to turn Black” as a matter of political expediency.
Let’s hope Harris continues to shrug off Trump’s racist and misogynist attacks. It’s clearly driving him crazy.

Recent days have seen Trump spiraling. In a single 24-hour period, he used his social media platform to spread a crass joke about Harris performing a sex act; suggested without evidence that she and President Joe Biden were partially responsible for the assassination attempt upon him; promoted a QAnon slogan; and sent out fake images of Harris and a host of other leading Democratic figures in orange prison uniforms.

Harris’s team has, wisely, declined to comment on his antics. As one campaign official put it to me:

“Why would we step in this man’s way?”……
