Yes but they can sure slow the process down. If you dont get 270 electoral votes you dont win on the 6th. And then it goes to the house. Not to mention the flame war in the press. We arent the Weimar Republic nor are we living in the 1930‘s nor are we German. So I dont concur.

My opinion is that I dont fear a facist/Nazi takeover. I dont believe its that easy in this country in this day and age with our people in this republic with our Constitution. You might fear such a thing but I do not. Trump is alot of things. But he is not Hitler. Not even close. He was never my choice and he never got my vote.

But whether you or I like it or not, he won a free and fair election. So we can accept the result of the free and fair election and attempt as best we can to govern ourselves or not. I do not wish to spend another 4 years debating the last election.

Hitler won a free and fair election too. The truth is modern Americans are soft, yet think they’re special and somehow immune to what’s happened throughout history and around the world.

So you can speculate about what could have happened on Jan 6 all day long. What wont change is that on Jan 6 2020, Biden officially received enough electoral votes to be elected President.

It also wont change the result of the most recent election.

I dont agree. Trump isnt Hitler. This isnt the 1930‘s Germany and we arent Germans. Different laws, different culture, different government, different constitution, different laws. I could go on and on about what is different between the here and now and 1930 Germany.

So I don‘t agree with the 1930 German comparison.

But I do agree that Americans have lots of problems. Thats true. We should work on those. Being Germans isnt one of them in my opinion.
