The truth is Kamala is smart, effective, thoughtful and would be a very good leader for this country. She ran a winning campaign and did just about everything right. She just didn't win. No satire.

The only way a woman gets elected is if both candidates are women. Her credentials didn't matter, and the same was true for Hillary. If the Democrats want to win, they need a man to lead the ticket or a woman wins the Republican primary. It sucks, but that's where our country is.

this is simple. civics is a joke in our school system. When almost half of the public has no idea of the three branches of govt it is not hard to figure out where the votes come from. Truly the schools have failed us for ages. if you have no idea then you truly can not make an informed choice because you are an uninformed idiot.

If you have no idea of the three branches of govt then the stock market is way over your head. inflation and prices was not as much inflation as a money grab. When profit is thru the roof that is what it is and profit is thru the roof.

Example changed a power steering pump on my old truck over the weekend. it is the second one for that truck. the first one in 2019 cost about 40 bucks with tax and fluid was under 5 a quart. local that pump at the same store is now a hundred more at 137 and name brand fluid is over 10 bucks. that is a money grab not inflation. when more cars have sold with that pump over time the price should go down not go up go up 242.5%.

Your trump voter could not figure out that was a 242.5% price hike. or even that oreily stock has gone from 390. to 1167. in the same time as that pump price jump. like i said money grab.

you can not have informed voters when simple stuff like that is over your head and the mind bending easy oart the branches of govt 47% of adults can not name them when asked.

Unless your plan is to get katie porter to break simple stuff down with a white board for them also they will always be fooled. They need education.

The economy is complicated, but if you understand the BASICS, then connecting dots its EASY. You may have more "connections" from Point A to Point B, but you will get a better understanding of HOW one thing affects a host of others ( cascading effect ). And you can also easily see how DOING a certain thing will act in reverse.

Too many today are just "tell me, i dont care for you to show me" and here we are.

Economy was number one factor in this election and 70% of the folks that said "economy" have no idea what they are talking about other than "what it costs for a head of lettuce" - WHY does it cost $3? NAh dont care, i just care that it DOES COST $3. Well if you dont understand WHY, then you will never know how to LOWER it.

Unless you are ok with someone telling you " dont worry ill lower it" and thats good enough- which seems to be the case here.

I was talking in this thread at one point about how young men are straight up ignored by Democrats. That stable democracies don't have a majority of sexless, depressed, angry young men.

I said then the women in stem thing in leftist circles is fine in vacuum. If you refuse to then talk about the college graduation gap between men, and women. The whole thing comes across as misandrist.

There is a massive crisis with that demographic that is completely ignored in leftist circles.

Yeah, we aren't going to agree on this totally... especially identity politics part... I think the vast majority of the people in America give no shirts that she is a woman or has darker skin... Identity politics is a dying game... For the fleeting few that actually still care about this... They end up eating their own...

She was a flawed candidate despite her lack of penis or skin color... and I am not going to make a list of all those flaws... because it's a pointless exercise now. Did her identity play a part in a small number of idiots decision making process...? Yeah, probably... But it was far from a deciding / major contributing factor based on what we saw last night.
