Today it begins, Kamala has reached the point that she's the Democratic Party nominee:

There's video from today. this link has video from her first public appearance since Biden endorsed her:

She spent yesterday on the telephone for most of the day. I read that yesterday that she called the party leaders in all 50 states. That would take me three days.

She's renamed her YouTube channel, that's the where to go for video: https://www.youtube.com/@kamalaharris

This is her video on her channel from two hours ago:

To play it, start it, and then move it up to 5:47. This was one of those live videos which don't start at zero.

I've named this thread General Election 2024 Harris vs Trump

Trump needs an introduction post as well, a MAGA suporter ought to write it: @Farb, @SaintForLife , @Others, calling for someone to please introduce your GOP candidate for this 2024 general election thread.

Jon Stewart has admitted he finds Tony Hinchcliffe “very funny” following the comedian’s widely criticized remarks at Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally.

On Monday (October 28), the Daily Show host dedicated his opening monologue to discussing the Republican presidential nominee’s rally in New York City on Sunday evening, which has since been condemned by celebrities and politicians alike for the many racist and vulgar remarks made by speakers at the event…..

As Stewart showed a clip from Hinchcliffe’s opening act, along with the multiple TV news anchors who subsequently criticized his jokes, the 61-year-old comedian took the opportunity to defend Hinchcliffe.

“Obviously, in retrospect, having a roast comedian come to a political rally a week before election day and roasting a key voting demographic, probably not the best decision by the campaign politically,” Stewart said. “But to be fair, the guy’s just really doing what he does.”

He then highlighted a video of Hinchcliffe’s set at the live Netflix comedy roast of Tom Brady, which took place earlier this year. Hinchcliffe has made a career out of writing jokes for celebrities on Comedy Central Roast, and offers brutal feedback to aspiring comedians on his podcast Kill Tony, which he co-hosts with Brian Redban.

After Stewart played a supercut of jokes from Hinchcliffe’s Roast of Tom Brady set, he couldn’t help but laugh at the controversial comedian’s segment.

“Yes, yes, of course, terrible, boo. There’s something wrong with me. I find that guy very funny. I’m sorry, I don’t know what to tell you,” Stewart admitted.……

I like Trevor Noah, Samantha Bee, Jon Oliver, Roy Wood Jr, and Larry Wilmore more than I like Jon Stewart and that was before Stewart left The Daily Show. There are others like Jessica Williams and Wyatt Cenac. I like Stewart, but he's never been my favorite out of The Daily Show cast.

All I am saying is it is terrible timing. It will distract and if you don’t think it will you have your head in the sand.
They were about to own the momentum this week but now Penning had a holding call on a first down pass so instead of it being first and 10 it’s 3rd down and 20. Not that it can’t blow over but it still makes things tougher.
I think you are mistaken and overestimating the impact of Biden's comment, but only time will tell.

Meanwhile - this lady rode the bus from the Bronx and was first in line to get into the speech tonight. Harris heard about it and invited her back stage and they ended up calling her mother together.

I'm excited about the prospects of Harris and Warren working together. Warren did similar things in 2020. They are both genuine public servants who are very bright and very resolute.

People are mad at Trump for not apologizing. His vague separation was inadequate. If Harris makes the same mistake or doesn’t clarify that she doesn’t think Americans that disagree are garbage, then she will lose that advantage.
That's certainly your opinion, but even you can't bring yourself to say she'll lose the election of Biden's misspeak. You keep saying "she will lose that advantage," because you even you know it's absurd to claim she'll lose the election because of it, and winning the election is all that matters.

Trump also didnt make the Puerto Rico comment, but people are crucifying him because he hasn’t clearly denounced it.
Trump hired the guy to speak and they proofed and signed off on his speech ahead of Time.

Did Harris hire Biden to say that? Did Harris proof and sign off on what Biden said ahead of time?
