Today it begins, Kamala has reached the point that she's the Democratic Party nominee:

There's video from today. this link has video from her first public appearance since Biden endorsed her:

She spent yesterday on the telephone for most of the day. I read that yesterday that she called the party leaders in all 50 states. That would take me three days.

She's renamed her YouTube channel, that's the where to go for video: https://www.youtube.com/@kamalaharris

This is her video on her channel from two hours ago:

To play it, start it, and then move it up to 5:47. This was one of those live videos which don't start at zero.

I've named this thread General Election 2024 Harris vs Trump

Trump needs an introduction post as well, a MAGA suporter ought to write it: @Farb, @SaintForLife , @Others, calling for someone to please introduce your GOP candidate for this 2024 general election thread.

WASHINGTON, Sept 18 (Reuters) - The International Brotherhood of Teamsters said on Wednesday that the union will not endorse any U.S. presidential candidate despite polling that showed a majority of members backed Republican candidate Donald Trump over Democrat Kamala Harris.

The 1.3 million-member union - which represents truck drivers and a wide range of other workers ranging from airline pilots to zookeepers - had released a national electronic poll of its members earlier on Wednesday that showed rank-and-file members preferred Trump over Harris by 59.6% to 34%.

The Teamsters have endorsed every Democratic candidate for president since 2000 but have on occasion endorsed Republicans, including President Ronald Reagan in 1984 and Vice President George H.W. Bush in 1988. It is the first time since 1996 the union is not making an endorsement.

Most major unions have endorsed Harris, including the United Auto Workers union. The AFL-CIO, which represents 60 unions and 12.5 million workers, endorsed Harris in July.

The Teamsters' executive board endorsement had been widely anticipated because it was seen as a factor in a handful of battleground states that will decide the Nov. 5 election, including Michigan, Nevada and Pennsylvania, where union membership is strong.

"Neither major candidate was able to make serious commitments to our union to ensure the interests of working people are always put before Big Business," Teamsters President Sean O'Brien said in explaining the union's decision. "We sought commitments from both Trump and Harris not to interfere in critical union campaigns or core Teamsters industries — and to honor our members’ right to strike — but were unable to secure those pledges."

Harris campaign spokeswoman Lauren Hitt noted that despite the national union decision, some Teamsters locals have endorsed Harris. "When she is elected president, she will look out for the Teamsters rank-and-file no matter what - because they always have been and always will be the people she fights for," Hitt said.

The Trump campaign cited the Teamsters poll data saying it showed the "vast majority of rank-and-file working men and women in this important organization want President Donald Trump back in the White House."..................

Not surprised considering the make-up of the Teamsters. Hell, not surprised they didn't outright endorse Trump considering the president popped up on the RNC stage.

Hey, Robert. You should join the DNC because you blow at messaging just as much as they do. If you really wanted the reaction you say you did, you wouldn't have soft-pedaled the whole thing. You let Barr distort and spin it before you ever opened your mouth. Now it's too late, the whole MAGAt world hears the word "Russian" and instantly shuts their ears.
I thought of MAGAT (pronounced magot) a few weeks ago, and then I heard someone else use it on the radio. Now I see you type it with a lower case "t". I haven't heard anyone say what it represents. My suggestion is troll, since Trump is the epitome of a troll. Other options are turds, twits, trash, and tyrants. We should do a vote for what the "t" should stand for, but what do y'all like?

Don’t think this needs its own thread - just noting the contrast between the way the Biden campaign handled this vs the Trump campaign.

HRC would've used that shirt so quick on the slick. :biglol:

Couple of videos of people leaving the LI Trump rally while you can hear him droning on in the background. Harris shoild release these saying “told ya!”

More Teamsters locals breaking rank. I’m beginning to doubt those online polls of Teamsters.

With all these defections, The International Brotherhood of Teamsters President is beginning to look like a 🤡. I hope the revolt continues and the support for her keeps coming in!

Those are just the people that couldn't get in because they were at capacity! :9:
