Today it begins, Kamala has reached the point that she's the Democratic Party nominee:

There's video from today. this link has video from her first public appearance since Biden endorsed her:

She spent yesterday on the telephone for most of the day. I read that yesterday that she called the party leaders in all 50 states. That would take me three days.

She's renamed her YouTube channel, that's the where to go for video: https://www.youtube.com/@kamalaharris

This is her video on her channel from two hours ago:

To play it, start it, and then move it up to 5:47. This was one of those live videos which don't start at zero.

I've named this thread General Election 2024 Harris vs Trump

Trump needs an introduction post as well, a MAGA suporter ought to write it: @Farb, @SaintForLife , @Others, calling for someone to please introduce your GOP candidate for this 2024 general election thread.

Trump campaign has brought back Corey Lewandowski

Yeah, thats gonna right the ship.

its hilarious how inept the Trump campaign is.
Trump likes to have creeps around. How can we say otherwise? That Miller guy - the one with no chin - slipped his mistress abortion drugs in her drink because she refused to have an abortion. Corey had multiple affairs with married women last time, and IIRC was accused of sexual harassment.

Nate Silver now has Monthly Change numbers for most battle ground states. There's zero question about switching from Biden to Harris being the right move. She has gained 6-7pts in the Big 3 and made massive 9-10pt gains in AZ, GA, and NV. The next question: Will Harris get a DNC bump or are we seeing her ceiling?

Podcaster Joe Rogan once again invited the ire of Donald Trump this week by praising Kamala Harris’s performance during a recent speech in Atlanta.

On Wednesday, comedian Adam Ray appeared alongside Rogan on his podcast The Joe Rogan Experience. As they spoke about the upcoming debate between Trump and Harris, Rogan pulled up a video of Harris speaking in Georgia last month.

“I do have to say that one speech she gave right after they decided she was going to be the nominee, that one speech where she said, ‘if you’re going to say something, why don’t you say it to my face?’ It was great timing,” Rogan said, adding that it was a “banger of a speech.”

In the speech, Harris had mocked Trump for threatening not to debate her. The two presidential candidates are set to appear for a debate on September 10 on ABC.……

Former President Donald Trump said that he's "entitled" to personally attack Vice President Kamala Harris because he doesn't "have a lot of respect for her."

Speaking with reporters at a news conference at his golf club at Bedminster, New Jersey, on Thursday afternoon, Trump was asked if he believed his "strategy" of attacking his political opponents was working in his reelection campaign.

"I think I am entitled to personal attacks," Trump said. "I don't have a lot of respect for [Harris]. I don't have a lot of respect for her intelligence, and I think she'll be a terrible president."

"Whether the personal attacks are good, bad—I mean, she certainly attacks me personally," the former president continued. "She actually called me 'weird' ... it was just a sound bite. And she called JD [Vance] and I 'weird.' He's not weird."…..

The Harris Campaign released this about the press conference, lol. It’s perfect! We shouldn’t treat these “press conferences” with any sort of respect or deference. They’re bonkers.

CNN —
Former president and Republican nominee Donald Trump brought out Hulk Hogan and Kid Rock to the RNC last month, while Megan Thee Stallion,George Clooney and Jennifer Aniston are among the star-powered artists who have voiced support for Vice President Kamala Harris in her White House bid.

But do election efforts by celebrities move the needle? Or is it all just hype?

A new study by Harvard University’s Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation, shared first by CNN, found that celebrities do play an influential role in promoting civic participation.

“While some polling shows that people claim they aren’t influenced by celebrity voices when it comes to politics, more rigorous evidence indicates that these voices are incredibly powerful,” according to the Harvard study.

When celebrities promote calls to action, the study found that nonprofits report higher rates of online voter registration and poll worker sign-ups.

“Celebrities are uniquely positioned to empower everyday Americans to use their voices and exercise their civic rights,” the report states. “Celebrities are an unparalleled force in American culture, informing what we buy, what we wear, and what we talk about. With their significant influence and reach, they are powerful advocates for social and political causes.”

Harvard’s report does not examine celebrity endorsements to specific candidates or political parities, instead focusing on the role celebrities play in nonpartisan voter participation efforts, like educating, mobilizing and encouraging Americans to register to vote.…….

AP fact check on Trump’s whatever. Reporters were hand-picked and at least one of the reporters asked for Walt Nauta’s autograph after the event was over. Some are speculating that the questions were also selected by the campaign.

I watched parts of it. I heard a lot of cheering while Trump was speaking. I can't remember ever hearing a cheering crowd at any other press conference. The "reporters" asking questions were obviously asking questions to make Trump look good. But here's the real kicker:

Is Trump doing product placement during a "press conference?" Is he that desperate for money?

It reads like Daily Show material. I think the Dem's messaging is really on point.

And now, let's go ahead and lose the Military vote.

Just keep him talking folks. By November, only his kids and cult members will vote for him

Dude.

Let's not forget that he gave one to Limbaugh as well! So, in trump's mind, Limbaugh is held in a higher honor than those serviceman that earned the CMoH. That's pretty bold.

I’m sure he thinks he should get an honorary CMoH cuz his ear got nicked and required a band-aid.
