Today it begins, Kamala has reached the point that she's the Democratic Party nominee:

There's video from today. this link has video from her first public appearance since Biden endorsed her:

She spent yesterday on the telephone for most of the day. I read that yesterday that she called the party leaders in all 50 states. That would take me three days.

She's renamed her YouTube channel, that's the where to go for video: https://www.youtube.com/@kamalaharris

This is her video on her channel from two hours ago:

To play it, start it, and then move it up to 5:47. This was one of those live videos which don't start at zero.

I've named this thread General Election 2024 Harris vs Trump

Trump needs an introduction post as well, a MAGA suporter ought to write it: @Farb, @SaintForLife , @Others, calling for someone to please introduce your GOP candidate for this 2024 general election thread.

Yeah, masquerade the inherent unfairness of farm subsidies by calling it equality. Same freaking ploy using Asians to attack college admission.

He called Kamala racist for implementing this. Yes, white farmers get assistance while minorities didn’t. Fix the problem, that is racist to white people. Burden of being white male is so hard these days.

always about him

..........Perhaps feeling a little left out, Donald Trump waded in and tries to take credit for LA being awarded the Games – while also slamming his predecessor Barack Obama over the bid.

In a Truth Social post on Sunday, the former president claimed he worked with the Olympics Organizing Committee of Los Angeles and the International Olympic Committee when he was president-elect, saying he “gave them what they wanted to hear, and got the job done!”

“As President-Elect, I worked with the Olympic Organizing Committee of Los Angeles in getting the 2028 Olympics to come to the United States. There was tremendous competition from other countries,” he wrote.

“President Obama refused to speak to the International Olympic Committee (perhaps because of a previous rejection by them of a proposal personally made by him!), which needed the enthusiastic support and approval of the U.S. President - Without which they would not have chosen our Country.”

He added: “I gave them what they wanted to hear, and got the job done! It was my great honor to do so. Hopefully I will be President, and our Country will have reached new (and record!) levels of success. SEE YOU IN 2028. Thank you!”............

I love these quotes. You had Republican senators so proud that they got a "generational border bill" by leveraging Ukraine aide. Trump pissed it all away.
I talk about establishment Republicans and you then list establishment Republicans who want to keep the border open for the cheap labor.

Why did the Senate ignore the immigration bill that the House passed in 2023? Because it would have addressed many immigration issues and the Senate wants to keep it open.

Generational? Maybe for the illegals and NGOs that support them.

Why did the Senate ignore the immigration bill that the House passed in 2023?

Because it wasn't a bipartisan bill. If you're going to get anything consequential done in Congress for the country, you have to do it in a bipartisan manner unless you have a supermajority like the Democrats did when they passed the ACA. Americans don't trust Republicans enough to give them a supermajority and control of both branches of government (legislative and executive). The fact that you and MAGA can't figure that out is the reason Republicans should not be in power.

So those House Republican's should have voted for the bipartisan bill that gave them everything they wanted. But Trump didn't want them to because it would give Democrats (who are able to compromise) a win.

The Senate killed the immigration bill because Trump told them to kill it. It's that simple. Only 4 GOP senators voted for it the first time and only 1 the second time. There are no "establishment Republicans". They are all "Trump Republicans".

"The vote was 43-50, falling short of the 60 needed to proceed. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska was the only GOP senator to vote to advance the bill Thursday, while six Democrats voted with the remaining Republican senators to block it."

A bipartisan immigration bill that includes democrats won't do anything to fix the border because Democrats and Establishment Republicans don't want the border fixed.

Nobody believes that bill would have fixed the border except Democrats.

There are no establishment Republicans? Yeah okay dude.

So what you're saying is you don't want a solution. Then why are you complaining so much about it?

What I'm saying is that a bill that makes it easier to bring in more illegals and give more money to the NGOs who are supporting the illegals is a non starter for anyone who wants the border fixed.

That's exactly what that joke of an immigration bill was.

Sure, sure. That's how your paint it with lies. But you still don't want a solution if you're unwilling to comprise. So why should we care what you have to say if all you're going to do is complain?

You guys look so foolish complaining about shirt like this when Trump and right wing media and evangelicals has been for years trying to paint Trump in messianic terms as the second coming is Christ.
David Sirota is a former speech writer and senior advisor for Bernie Sanders. He ain't a right winger.

The memo went out to the media from the Harris campaign about the "Joy" narrative and they are fully cooperating.

Joy is just Obama’s hope and change rebranded.

This all or nothing mentality is what is wrong with congress. You compromise and improve. It was so bad and would have done nothing to help that Trump wanted it killed so it didn’t improve the situation and make Biden look better.
