    As we head toward the summer and the National Party Conventions, it might be handy to have a thread focused on the upcoming matchup of current President Biden vs Former President Trump.
    As of April 28,2024 , CNN's poll shows Trump leading. Yet polls are not always accurate and they are constantly changing.
    Feel free to use this thread for all things relating to Biden vs Trump.

    I'm going to reference this post in 3 months.

    All the "ride with Biden" people on this board don't get to come back in here 3 months from now and blame infighting as the reason for Biden's defeat. His inability to communicate, and the justifable concerns about his age are the reasons for his inevitable loss.

    Why do you think "we" are going to go away for three months before coming back to do that which "we" are allowed to do?

    Trump did out perform the polls in 2020. If I took this argument on it's face, it seems like you are comparing 2020 Republicans to 2024 Democrats. The 2020 Republicans outperformed the polls, but lost. I'm not sure why you want to be the 2020 Republicans.

    The people who are debating the polls can not be looking at them. The same polls that show Biden down have the senate candidate up in the same state.

    People in swing states are specifically rejecting Biden.

    I’m not comparing the Dems to anyone.
    I’m just saying it’s not a good idea to declare a Trump win in mid July.
     
    Ask yourself how can a convicted felon, adjudicated rapist, twice impeached former President be leading in the polls against an incumbent that has significantly lowered inflation and unmatched job creation? If Biden were the man from 2020 or before, this would not be a race at all. Unfortunately, we live in 2024 and Biden has significantly aged since he took office. Call it hindsight or call it fact - Joe Biden should not have run for a second term. Period. Democratic leaders knew his cognitive abilities were not the same......how did they run this guy back out there?

    If the election were held tomorrow, Trump would win. Possibly win BIG. Just got to hope things turn around before November. It really, really, really sux to have to HOPE Trump doesn't win again. Why oh why is this happening THIS YEAR?????

    I wouldn’t say that. Trump supporters are just so loud about their support.
    Biden doesn’t have a cult, but he won the election last year and Trump has lost the popular vote both times.

    I mean sure. We can just say that certain polls don’t matter until Election Day and just figure out if the picture being painted for months of Biden being in big trouble in this race was accurate all along.

    It’s not about not believing that these groups won’t turn up to vote.

    It’s about seeing that many people who aren’t already planning to vote for team red or blue could be enticed to vote for someone (Trump) they feel is a stronger candidate.
