As we head toward the summer and the National Party Conventions, it might be handy to have a thread focused on the upcoming matchup of current President Biden vs Former President Trump.
As of April 28,2024 , CNN's poll shows Trump leading. Yet polls are not always accurate and they are constantly changing.
Feel free to use this thread for all things relating to Biden vs Trump.

So this guy thinks the extra Fox debate, moderated by two Trump sycophants, that Trump posted that he accepted, will be the excuse. When Biden rightly objects to that one, Trump will back out of the 2 he has agreed to at this point. He is also very sure Trump isn’t capable of debating and they all know it, which is why they agreed so quickly to those conditions, they have no intention of going through with them.

The address to the nation is 98% reading off a teleprompter. A debate would likely be more risky but the nation would benefit from seeing him and judging for themselves.

Sorry the fact that he killed that speech has you upset and reaching for excuses.....According to you and way to many others he can barely string a coherent string of sentences together.....which was shown to be total and utter BS.....

Joe Biden is ramping up his election attacks on Donald Trump, calling him “that loser” during a gala in Washington DC.

The president went after his predecessor during the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies’ 30th Annual Gala at the Walter E Washington Convention Center.

Entering the ballroom to a standing ovation, Mr Biden began his remarks with a shoutout to House Democratic leaders.

About six minutes into his remarks, Mr Biden referred to Mr Trump as “that loser”.

“I think he’s having trouble,” he added about Mr Trump, to laughter. As has become his custom, Mr Biden referred to Mr Trump without using his name, going on to slam his predecessor on his handling of the Covid-19 pandemic and on taxes and spending.

About Mr Trump’s advice from a White House podium that people try to inject bleach to deal with the virus, Mr Biden said, “I wonder if he did it. Might explain some things”.

Mr Biden slammed Mr Trump and congressional Republicans for adding “more to the federal debt than in any other presidential term”.

“My predecessor wants to cut social security and Medicare,” he claimed. “Not on my watch.”

Mr Biden also slammed Mr Trump for pushing Republicans to block a package of immigration reforms, as well as for how he speaks about migrants.

“By the way, the first bill I introduced is the most comprehensive immigration reform bill in decades. It includes a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers and expands the number of green cards so many more families can build their American dream together,” he said. “Unfortunately, those provisions are not included in the recent bipartisan border bill, that was the first bill I introduced when I became president. That bipartisan bill has majority support in the House and Senate.”

“When I was told that other guy, that loser,” Mr Biden said to laughter and cheers, “I think he’s having trouble — Trump called Republicans and blocked that Senate Bill, he got on the phone and said, it'd be a win for Biden and a loser for him. So they have to make sure you don't allow it to get to a vote. But he’s wrong. Republican congressmen must act, because it's the right thing to do and America needs it done.”...............

Donald Trump flirted with the idea of being president for three terms – a clear violation of the US constitution – during a bombastic speech for the National Rifle Association in which he vowed to reverse gun safety measures green-lighted during the Biden administration.

“You know, FDR 16 years – almost 16 years – he was four terms. I don’t know, are we going to be considered three-term? Or two-term?” The ex-president and GOP presidential frontrunner said to the organization’s annual convention in Dallas, prompting some in the crowd to yell “three!” Politico reported.

Trump has floated a third term in past comments, even mentioning a prolonged presidency while campaigning in 2020. He has also tried distancing himself from this idea, telling Time magazine in April: “I wouldn’t be in favor of it at all. I intend to serve four years and do a great job.”

The 22nd amendment, which was enacted following Franklin Delano Rosevelt’s fourth term, limits the presidency to two terms.

In his speech to the NRA, Trump spoke on abortion, immigration and criticized Robert F Kennedy Jr as being part of the “radical left”. He also complained about the multiple criminal cases against him, including a gag order that bars him from commenting about witnesses in his ongoing New York City criminal trial.

Trump has the NRA’s endorsement, but the organization has recently been reeling from legal and financial woe and is not quite the force in US politics it once was.……

Among Muslim Americans and Arab Americans, anger over President Biden’s approach to the Israel-Gaza war and the Middle East in general has been building for months, creating a possible threat to his prospects in November.

In a New York Times-Siena College poll released last week, Donald Trump led Biden 57-25 among Arab and Muslim voters in five key battleground states; those who said they voted in 2020 reported they had supported Biden 56-35 at the time.

Ninety-four percent of Michigan Muslims voted “uncommitted” in February’s Democratic primary, according to an exit poll.

Now, as the election nears, some Arab American donors and activists are considering not just sitting out the race, but working outright to elect Trump.

And in a private meeting this week in Michigan, Trump’s surrogates are going to do their best to bring them into the fold……

They are naive if they think that Trump would do anything to help the Palestinians.

They are naive if they think that Trump would do anything to help the Palestinians.

There is a percentage of Arab Americans activist that don't care much about the Palestinians and have other goals in mind in supporting Trump. Many of them supported Trump previously. They are using the discontent surrounding Israel/Gaza to draw more Arab Americans to Trump. They may talk about Palestine, but they are just using it the same way Republicans and Trump are using it. And as always, the naïve follow along blindly.

For what reason would any Arab Americans support Trump? He hates them.

For one he's not enabling and supporting genocide like Biden.
Trump would be far worse for Muslims. Trump tried to ban them from coming here. Trump has said he wants Israel to finish the job! Israel is already killing as many civilians as terrorists, so how would they finish the job? What else could Israel do short of genocide? Trump is also the one that helped Iran accelerate their nuclear program, and killed all hope of bringing them to the table to stop supporting terrorists. The only Arabs that like him are Saudis, and that's only because they can profit from him. If Muslims help elect Trump, the racists in his administration will make life miserable for them.

Yeah, I should have said Trump openly hates Muslims who aren’t filthy rich. If they have money, he thinks they are marks he can get cash out of.
