Frankly, I'm completely ignorant when it comes to the Critical Race Theory curriculum. What is it, where does it come from, and is it legitimate? Has anyone here read it and maybe give a quick summary?

If this has been covered in another thread, then I missed it.

The human condition. It would be racist to assume only white people oppress others. I think ALL humans have the capacity to oppress regardless of ethnicity. I am judging humanity as a whole. However, I could be wrong and maybe only whites like to practice racism and oppression. What do you think?

But what they are most terrified about, is being treated like they've treated everyone else

Frankly, I don't know much about the meaning of privilege in America. As an immigrant I felt it was in group preference and I accepted that. It was the benefit of being a member of the majority. However, I also noted that those that practiced in group preference would welcome others if they were like minded. It is basically a club where the people recognize each other as members of the same tribe. I suspect all ethnic groups do it.

Sounds like in group preference. The benefit of membership in a large majority group. I can see how non-members are screwed. I have experienced that.

I did not say that Bran. As a general rule parents like to do well for their children. There is usually DNA kinship. Outside immediate family this tends to disappear. Unless there is a powerful unifying force. For example the Amish help each other.

I have been there many times. The visitors are 99% white and many are from places like Germany. When I was there the guide referred to the issue of slaves and there was not a single problem. However, that was years ago when the nation was less tribal polarized. What a shame!

I've tried. We have a long private conversation that speaks to this.

However, none of this has to do with what I said. You admit that you "don't know much about the meaning of privilege in America" (your words). This isn't the first time you have offered strong opinions on something that you later admit to not knowing much about. It's incredibly egotistical to think that your uninformed opinions carry the same weight as those offered by people who are informed on the subject. At some point, people that are relatively ignorant on a subject need to sit down and shut up in the hopes that they will learn something.
