Farb did you watch the whole thing?

You do realize that was a long time. More than an hour and a half. I suggest you do if you didn't.

Maybe you can enlighten us on his cognitive issues cuz I missed them.

I didn't mean a good decision in the voting booth. Like you said, it is no ones business who anyone voted for. Write in yourself if you want.
I mean, if you break the law, should be have a say in how this society functions since you chose to ignore the laws that we as a society have passed? Some states that if fine. You can vote as a felon in prison. If voting is that important to you, move to that state and commit your felonies. Other wise, that is poor planning and society doesn't owe you to rearrange our values because your failure to plan and make good decisions.

The harm? You have stupid people vote. Stupid people make stupid decisions. If you have no idea how this government works, should you have a say on how to run it?

Do you think gerrymandering is a bi-partisan issue? I do. To say one side uses it more is just lazy.

The real problem with voting is we let anyone vote and we want more to vote.

Voting should be important to everyone. It's a crucial part of the role of an individual in our society. For the life of me I'll never understand why some people demonize it.

"Our values" change all the time. They used to be objectively worse - restricting the rights of women and mistreating people of color, to name a few.

So everyone in prison is a 'stupid person'? Seems pretty shortsighted. There are plenty of people who make terrible decisions - whether in heat of the moment or over time. I disagree that they are 'stupid', and think it's pretty silly to paint with so broad a brush. Made a stupid decision? Of course. But to ignore context and slap an insult on a population seems naive.

If you're going to make the 'have no idea how government works' argument, I've got a nation of 'free' people for you who largely do not. Are they all stupid, too? Or maybe many people disagree on your opinion of how government should function? I know many people disagree with my interpretation. And that's both healthy AND normal.

The real problem is most plainly not that we let 'anyone' vote. People voting maliciously has never been an issue in this country, large scale - no matter how much Fox wants to push the fear narrative of such. But we have an entire history book of racially motivated voter suppression that we could both read up on at our local libraries. Outside of fringe networks with agendas like Fox or OAN, that's common knowledge. That's our history whether convenient or not.

I wish there was this much passion on finding where this virus actually came from.

Why? What would that accomplish? Let's say that they determined with 100% certainty that it escaped from the Wuhan lab. How would that affect the response to the virus? How would that save lives? How would that help to slow the spread of the virus?

How many formal w/ open questions has he had?
I said Biden had many more INformal press conferences than Trump, but Trump has held more formal press conferences. I was refuting your point that Biden is being hidden watching TV and eating ice cream. It's rich to suggest that anybody watches too much TV coming from someone that supports the Trump that was known to be fixated with watching TV.

I saw a piece on TV that had a graphic showing informal vs formal press conferences for the last 5 presidents, but I couldn't find that, however the article below contains the information. Biden has had 216 informal Q&A sessions to Trump's 120, however Trump held 22 formal to Biden's 9 formal press conferences. With that said, Trump's press conferences were generally worthless, since they were full of lies, while Biden's are largely factual.

Old Joe must have the worst handlers ever since they allowed him to stop hiding out eating ice cream to have a live Q&A for an hour and a half on television. That moronic orange puss bucket wouldn't have even been able to answer any of the questions with answers that aren't total BS and would have meandered off after he got distracted and bored with the "enemy of the people" "harassing" him by asking him mean questions the whole time.

I wish there was this much passion on finding where this virus actually came from.

I think the covid response was over that top out of fear and it was stoked by government, media and pharma.

So wearing masks to slow the spread of and getting vaccinated to protect people against a virus that had been shown by
that time to adversely effect human health was 'over the top'?

You seem to be viewing everything through a hyper-political lens. It is a public health issue. For the life of me I don't understand
why such a large number of Republicans want to put the American people in danger by getting rid of public health mandates for political 'gotchas' and
conspiracies. It's literally borderline treasonous to not want to protect your own people.

The real problem with voting is we let anyone vote and we want more to vote.

You're beliefs regarding voting are very illuminating given you unabashed support of an unrestricted 2nd Amendment. In essence, you believe that the people of this country should have a greater right to overthrow the government through violent insurrection (given that keeping the government in check and at fear of the populace is always one of the primary reason given by yourself and all conservatives in their support of unrestricted gun ownership) than they should to overthrow the government though peaceful means of voting. Why? Why is that better for our country?

Also, why don't you apply that logic of stupid people to gun ownership?

Do you not see the circular logic here? People should vote to change it, but the people that want to change it are being disenfranchised by the people that they would most likely want to vote out.
Who is disenfranchised? A convicted felon?

The fact that we have to celebrate the POTUS is able to stand up and give a speach for more than an hour is shows just how ridicious our body of politic has become. I thought it was stupid when everyone was amazed that Trump did it.

Why? What would that accomplish? Let's say that they determined with 100% certainty that it escaped from the Wuhan lab. How would that affect the response to the virus? How would that save lives? How would that help to slow the spread of the virus?
Let us say it it originated in the virus lab where they were studying this in Wuhan. Almost seems certain to me, but the CCP propaganda arm in very effective, deemed by this conversation.
Who funded it? Did we (US) send money to fund it? That seems like a pretty big deal to me. Why did we fund it? Maybe we should look into how our government is spending our money and to what end is the benefit to us as a nation.

I know accountability is not a left virtue any longer if it from their side (kind of strange the left lines up with China on a lot of issues) but this is something that everyone in the world should demand answers too. If we gave money to China to 'study' this, we owe a lot of money to world and so does China.

As far as 'why does it matter', if that is the logic you all want to use, then can we apply that to everything or just what is convenient to the left?

I stand correct. He is doing a great job for the country. Everyone besides 67% of the country think so.

Or it is treasonous to use a 'health issue' to force political agenda on its own people. I guess it how you look at it.

Did I say convicted felons should be allowed to own firearms? I don't think I did. Can you show me?

Trump is not in office, I don't care if he could be a big boy and stand for 2 hours and give a speech. Why do you think I care about Trump's ability to read while standing?

Or it is treasonous to use a 'health issue' to force political agenda on its own people. I guess it how you look at it.

And what 'political agenda' involves protecting people from a deadly virus with basic health safety measures?

You seem to be conflating that with some nefarious 'takeover'. I'm not following where you're going with this.

    Why politicize a non-political issue?

Did I say convicted felons should be allowed to own firearms? I don't think I did. Can you show me?

I wasn't just talking about felons, but as @insidejob mentioned, it was a lot easier for him to get a gun license as an ex-felon than it was to get his right to vote back and you were totally okay with that.

But this also goes beyond felons. You believe it's alright to have all kinds of restrictions on voting, where as you oppose almost all restrictions on gun ownership. Clearly you believe the right of gun ownership is more fundamental to our country than the right to vote is. And you're not alone in that, basically all Republicans do. Why? Why should it be easier for citizens to overthrow their government though violent insurrection than it is though the peaceful process of voting?
