I have now listened to the clip a handful of times (thanks to our exchange) to make sure that I wasn’t missing something she said.

At worst she is saying that Biden’s Covid threat could kill him because he is an old man. So every day you are running the risk of him dying as long as he has COVID. Not really the endorsement Biden was looking for.

At best she is saying that the assassination attempt on Trump, and Biden’s COVID experience show an equal amount of resiliency by both men.

I don’t know man, I’ll take Covid over getting shot at.

Well this should be obvious what's happening now:

Schiff today, Schumer conversation, and now Nancy - Nancy is ready for Joe to come to the correct decision as she put it.

The Biden DOJ basically paid them off for their opposition to Trump even though there is no way they would have won their case.

July 31 (Reuters) - The U.S. Department of Agriculture said on Wednesday it has issued $2 billion of financial assistance to more than 43,000 farmers, ranchers and forest landowners who experienced past discrimination in the agency's farm lending programs.

The Inflation Reduction Act allocated $2.2 billion for the discrimination payments. For decades, Black farmers and other under-represented groups in farming have alleged bias in the agency's farm loan programs.

"For too long, many farmers and ranchers experienced discrimination in farm loan programs and have not had the same access to federal resources and support,” said President Joe Biden in a statement.

The recipients of the payments include more than 23,000 people who have or previously had a farming operation, and another 20,000 who reported they were unable to have a farming operation because of discrimination in USDA's loan process.…..

Health insurers will be required to cover mental health care and addiction services the same as any other condition under a highly anticipated final rule being released Monday by the Biden administration.

The move is part of the administration’s ongoing battle with health insurers, who officials say are skirting a 2008 law requiring plans that cover mental health and substance use care benefits do so at the same level as physical health care benefits.

The health insurance industry is likely to challenge the rule, saying the administration did not have the authority to issue it to begin with.

It argued the proposed requirements were unworkable and an unfunded government mandate that would cause employers to stop covering behavioral health services.

Essentially, any financial requirements and treatment limitations like copays, coinsurance and visit limits imposed on mental health and substance use disorder benefits can’t be more restrictive than the ones that apply to all medical and surgical benefits.

“Mental health and substance use disorder benefits should not come with any special roadblocks,” Lisa Gomez, the assistant secretary for employee benefits security at the Department of Labor, told reporters at a press conference.

“It’s simple: It shouldn’t be harder for you to get care when you feel depressed than getting care when you have back pain. It shouldn’t be harder for you to find a provider that can treat your eating disorder than it is to find a provider who can treat your ulcer.”……….

This is great because mental healthcare is healthcare, period. Considering we live in a toxic society this is good news.

Wonder if the right will pounce on this even though the context, intent and character are different than when Trump used the term
    ========================

President Biden on Friday appeared to stumble over a reference to “Black jobs,” a phrase Democrats have bashed former President Trump for using, and pivoted to jab the Republican over the line.

“With your help, in just three and a half years we created over 2 million new Black jobs for Black — Black Americans,” Biden told a crowd at a brunch celebrating Black excellence hosted at the White House. He held a hand up as the crowd audibly reacted with laughter to the line.

“By the way, the next Black job to be filled is as president United States of America,” he quipped, prompting cheers in reference to Vice President Harris.

Harris, who has already made history as the first Black and south Asian American in the second-in-command role, is running to succeed her boss in the Oval Office. She’d be the first woman and first female person of color to hold the presidency if elected in November.……

Nancy Pelosi has admitted she still has not spoken to Joe Biden since her crucial intervention in July led to his decision to drop out of the presidential race, following a disastrously frail performance in a debate against Donald Trump.

The former speaker of the House told the Guardian’s Jonathan Freedland on the Politics Weekly America podcast that although she continues to regard the US president as a great friend and longtime political ally, she felt a cold political calculation was necessary after the evidence of Biden’s failing mental acuity.

“Not since then, no,” she said when asked if she had spoken to Biden since. “But I’m prayerful about it.”

She added: I have the greatest respect for him. I think he’s one of the great consequential presidents of our country,” she said. “I think his legacy had to be protected. I didn’t see that happening in the course that it was on, the election was on. My call was just to: ‘Let’s get on a better course.’ He will make the decision as to what that is. And he made that decision. But I think he has some unease because we’ve been friends for decades.”

“Elections are decisions,” she added. “You decide to win. I decided a while ago that Donald Trump will never set foot in the White House again as president of the United States or in any other capacity … So when you make a decision, you have to make every decision in favor of winning ... and the most important decision of all is the candidate.”………
