I think it is a mistake for Maine and Colorado to remove Trump from the ballot.
He would have lost without that action being implemented.
Now this will give Trump and his followers reasons to say Trump is having the election stolen from him.
Let the voters reject him on their own.
If Nikki Haley is not the GOP nominee this "take Trump off the ballot stuff" makes me waiver a little bit.
The company my wife works for is a US national company. I won't say which one but I want to share with you that it is NON political.
Yet at the company Christmas Party I was her guest....and....I had an opportunity to speak to that company's "Big Boss". Each region has a boss and this man is the "Big Boss" over all of them.
He's so smart and yet very skilled at making others feel comfortable to talk to him. I told him of my support for Nikki Haley and my negative views on Donald Trump.
I'll paraphrase his response to the best of my ability:
"Steve....Nikki Haley is not gonna be the nominee. Trump is. Nikki Haley lies. Trump lies. ALL POLITICIANS LIE. That's who they are. So.......we have to not look at what Trump says but what he DID. Look back at the 4 years he was President and think about the economy...the way he handled China....the efforts he made on the Mexican Border...no US forces in any wars...etc. Our country was better off with trump in office than with Biden. You DON'T HAVE TO like him Steve. I get it that he has many negatives. Just vote for him because of his prior 4 years are better than these more recent Biden years".
He went on to say that his company will do well no matter who is President. He is just expressing to me that a 2024 -2028 Trump Presidency would be better for the country than 4 more years of Biden.
    I have not changed.
I want 4 years of Nikki Haley...but I share this important person's thoughts with all of you in case you find it to be of interest.
Nikki Haley would be an utter failure.

Ever heard of agitprop? You are neck deep in it. The entire Republican Party is bathing in it. And they are a far greater risk to this country and the world than the MAGAts are capable of understanding.

Steve, nobody here that I recall ever said Americans don’t blame Biden for the border issues. All I said was that there’s a good reason why they do, and it isn’t moored in reality, it’s moored in political spin and lying by Republicans.

The “big boss” you talked to didn’t demonstrate good judgement. I would hesitate to work for a company he heads up. He is morally lacking and doesn’t have a good economic grasp of the country.

    Uh...check with @LA - L.A. about your opening statement.

    Agitprop: agitation and propaganda

Republicans have admitted to using the Bolshevik playbook.

So at the company Christmas Party I was a guest thanks to my wife's employment there....and....I had an opportunity to speak to that company's "Big Boss". Each region has a boss and this man is the "Big Boss" over all of them.

Remember when you said that people vote for their own interests? What interests do you think the big boss of a large, national corporation has? How do those interests compare to those of people that are struggling every day?

Well I'm only learning of that from you.
I formulated my posts tonight without "agitprop" or any playbooks.
My wife is buried in something on her work laptop so I came back here briefly.
    I'm gone again though.
    Bye for now.

You were quoting agitprop. You may not have known it but you were.

This is all a coincidence and irrelevant.
Our forum colleague said I needed to prove that a majority of Americans blame Biden for the border crises. I have done so. Thus....
Go ahead and give a thumbs up to this @MT15

What you quoted is not irrelevant. The context of the material and the drivers of that material are relevant. The context is agitprop. Again whether you care or not is irrelevant.

    Ha ha.
    I did NOT quote anything.
    I just gave my opinion.
YOU have not revealed WHAT I said that supposedly and mysteriously and coincidentally matched with something you call "agitprop"....which I never heard of.

oh....and btw, a majority of Americans agree with ME that Biden has a great deal of responsibility for the mess on the border.
Additionally, a majority of Americans likely never heard of "agitprop" and could care less about "agitprop" even if they received your explanation.

A majority of Americans believed that Iraq had WMDs.

A majority of Americans think the Affordable Care Act and Obamacare are two different things.

What exactly is the point of mentioning when a majority of Americans are wrong?

Again, don’t care. When you post comments regarding polls that is agitprop. What, exactly, were the questions asked? How were they phrased? Who asked the questions? How were the respondents contacted? Media outlets that push the narrative are pushing agitprop.

When you say that You and a ”majority of Americans” agree with you then YOU are pushing agitprop. Why? Because the border has been an issue for decades. It suits Republicans such as yourself to blame Biden for the failures of past congresses and administrations. Yet, actual legislation to resolve or at least address the problem must arise from congress. Republicans can address the issue but choose not to. Media and Republicans have more interest in the agitprop than actually dealing with the problem. Actual numbers regarding deportations are never discussed in the agitprop.

Thanks. The article quoted above is the only one I, that I saw, that is based on a poll that provides some information on the polling methodology.

    Two things:
    1. That poll was done in early October, 3 months ago, and voters are known to change their opinions based on the most recent events, so who knows what the opinions will be in November 2024.
    2. Immigration has been a hot topic in almost every presidential election, but seldom has significant influence on how people vote.
I don't think anyone wins or loses in 2024 based on immigration.

I think the most influential voting issues in order of the most influential to least are going to be preservation of our democracy, minority rights (all of them) and personal financial well being. I think whichever candidate the majority of voters believe will do the best overall job in those areas is going to win the election.

Biden now claims the support of just 63% of Black voters, a precipitous decline from the 87% he carried in 2020, according to the Roper Center. He trails among Hispanic voters by 5 percentage points, 39%-34%; in 2020 he had swamped Trump among that demographic group 2 to 1, 65%-32%.

And among voters under 35, a generation largely at odds with the GOP on issues such as abortion access and climate change, Trump now leads 37%-33%. Younger voters overwhelmingly backed Biden in 2020.

    Oh my
White supremacy or something. Most people will be voting on their pocketbooks which is bad news for Biden.

Maybe you should pull yourself up by your bootstraps and stop depending on the government to bail you out.

My pocketbook is doing great because I take personal responsibility rather than blaming my problems on the government.
