Didn't really see a place for this so I thought I would start a thread about all things LGBTQ since this is a pretty hot topic in our culture right now

    https://www.cnbc.com/2021/06/17/sup...y-that-refuses-to-work-with-lgbt-couples.html

    • The Supreme Court on Thursday delivered a unanimous defeat to LGBT couples in a high-profile case over whether Philadelphia could refuse to contract with a Roman Catholic adoption agency that says its religious beliefs prevent it from working with same-sex foster parents.
    • Chief Justice John Roberts wrote in an opinion for a majority of the court that Philadelphia violated the First Amendment by refusing to contract with Catholic Social Services once it learned that the organization would not certify same-sex couples for adoption.

I will admit, I was hopeful for this decision by the SCOTUS but I was surprised by the unanimous decision.

While I don't think there is anything wrong, per se, with same sex couples adopting and raising children (I actually think it is a good thing as it not an abortion) but I also did not want to see the state force a religious institution to bend to a societal norm.

What is everyone's thoughts on this message from our government? Is it transphobic? Why just males for the draft? I don't think this includes trans-men, or does it?

A couple of clicks would have given you your answer.

Undocumented Immigrants being required to register is illuminating. The US, "If we find you we'll kick you out". Also the US, "If we have draft for a war, you're fighting for us." Haven't heard DeSantis complaining about undocumented Immigrants recently. You? I wonder if he needs them in Florida for some reason?

Well, I asked for your definition of a cult. I don't think that is an odd request giving the track record of the left and their aversion to using the normal and established definition of anything really. See 'woman' for an example.
You also provided me characteristics of a cult instead of a definition to use in our little debate.

    Lets use this one

    Definition of cult

1: a religion regarded as unorthodox or spurious (see SPURIOUS sense 2)also : its body of adherentsthe voodoo culta satanic cult
2a: great devotion to a person, idea, object, movement, or work (such as a film or book)criticizing how the media promotes the cult of celebrityespecially : such devotion regarded as a literary or intellectual fad
b: the object of such devotion
c: a usually small group of people characterized by such devotionthe singer's cult of fansThe film has a cult following.
3: a system of religious beliefs and ritualalso : its body of adherentsthe cult of Apollo
4: formal religious veneration : WORSHIP
5: a system for the cure of disease based on dogma set forth by its promulgatorhealth cults

We can have a lot of fun with #5.

In regards to the 'walk out' you guys were so fired up about, it usually take about a week for the truth to come out about these 'grass roots, student led' skip days and turns out, it was mainly a skip day for the kids and the adult activists that coordinated the walkout and the media coverage

So what I get from this is that I think we can agree that either by a dictionary definition or a set of characteristics generally agreed upon by sociologists, kids participating in a 'walk out' because they want to skip school isn't a cult. Nor would it be a cult if they actually walked out in support of fellow students they believed were being targeted. Neither of those scenarios meets either the dictionary definition or the sociological characteristics.

I agree. especially those that have such a slim grasp on reality that if someone told them that they are a bad person if they don't believe that 'some males' can have babies, they would believe them regardless of all of human existence. But, to each their own.
Link to “some males can have babies” or shut your freaking piehole. You keep posting this lie when you know it is a lie because you think it is cute.

Yep, it is a shame. Rearrange reality…
Indeed. Sort of like making a statement that a demonstration is a cult, and then just pretending you didn’t make the statement when you get called on it.

I just want to add that people regularly get their citizenship applications denied because they failed to register for selective service.

Wow. And the weird response of basically "we don't like them either but death is a bridge too far"
    ================================================================

A man was recorded on video Tuesday night saying LGBTQ people “deserve death” during a school board meeting in Arkansas where several anti-LGBTQ policies were passed.

“God gave them over to a depraved mind so that they do what they should not be doing,” says a man whom a district spokesperson identified as Cal Paulson, who is referred to as a local preacher in an article by the Log Cabin Democrat newspaper of Conway, the city in which the school district is located.

The video was recorded by a person attending the meeting and verified by NBC News.

“They invent ways of doing evil,” he continues, “but let me remind you that those who do such things deserve death.”........

    Allahu Akbar!!!!

    Very Talibanie of him.

If find it intriguing that many of these "Christians" love to tell the world that they hate Sharia Law but they fully embrace some of its most reprehensible acts. Whether it be how they view the lgbtq community or how criminals should be punished.

So there is a difference, on the biological level between men and women? I was told that if a female takes cross sex hormones or a male takes cross sex hormones, then the difference between the two does not exist, so sports for example are open to all that 'think they are the other sex'.

Nice shift to immigrates though when we are talking about the LGBT church. I will give you credit for not bring up Trump! We can have that discussion if you want too (the one about immigrates having to register, not Trump. No one cares about Trump but the left).

So you don't have a point. All those imaginary people telling you things .... you should probably get that checked out. Although, I guess is it useful for creating your red herrings.

But you couldn't help yourself from bringing him up anyway. Lol.

No, I don't think we can agree to that. Cults like numbers, correct? The more cult members, the better the cult. So the cult got numbers and made sure to have the media available in order to give the impression that the LGTBQ cult is well accepted and anyone who disagrees with their premise that men can be women and women can be men are the renegades. Like I said, cult 101.

Wait until you see what Islam does to gays and women! That will blow you mind!!

I do have a point, you just wont discuss it. If a woman takes cross sex hormones and gets stronger, is she the same on a level of a biological male?

    Zing!

I am certain that we all will see once Republicans and their mob have completed their destruction of democracy in the United States. We have already seen examples of how their mob like to treat the "others" in this country, I can see them expanding their hate once it becomes officially state sponsored.
