It’s so repulsive to see people cheering for what is basically 80% the same thing as the Holocaust - different end result but otherwise very similar.

Economists have said it would tank the economy and cause inflation - notwithstanding the cost.

Is it going to actually happen or is this Build The Wall 2.0?

Gee, you mean to tell me that kids were held against their will and transported across state lines and Biden didn't do anything?
They were children. They had no say in it. Their parents were lied to and they were dropped off on corners in the freezing cold. forking children.

If you're OK with that you're subhuman. Period. Even dogs treat puppies better than that.

Yes, because the US gun lobby is willing to give up that revenue stream, lol. That's so naive it's precious.
IMO, it’s not naive. It’s willful ignorance of facts due to being in an information bubble of his own making. Without facts, and supplied with propaganda that reinforces his confirmation bias, he doesn’t even know what he doesn’t know. Let me try to put that better - he doesn’t even know enough to know he is being misled.

Thus, my comment. Children, you claim, were taken against their will and bussed across state lines, and the Biden Justice Dept. stood idly by?
Come here legally, support yourself, all are welcome.

You do know that once they have applied for asylum and has been released awaiting processing of their claim, they are factually legal while awaiting their case to go before a judge?

They were lied to when put on the busses. They were told that there would be accomodation and jobs at the destination. Instead they were used for a political stunt show, paid by the taxpayers in Florida, even though they came from Texas

Why, yes, yes I do!
Isn't that how many members of Tren De Agua gang got here?

Do you deny the border only showed improvement after Biden's hand was forced?

Biden clearly wanted to fix issues with the border through legislation, because he believed that is what was necessary to provide lasting solutions. That's why he asked Democrats on the Hill to work with Republicans to come up with a border bill that provided solutions. It was only after Trump torpedoed that effort for selfish political gain that Biden then turned executive actions to do what he could to address the problems. The problems though, are not addressed because the president is limited by current law.

One of the most brilliant political moves of all time, ship aliens to sanctuaries so they can feel the actual effects of their own policy.

It was a deeply cynical plow by that troglodyte Abbot that prayed on desperate migrants with lies and dropped them in areas with no resources set up to help them survive. Of course those cities where true to their words and scrambled to set up the necessary resources as they asked Biden for additional support. I guess that is want counts as affective in your book. I live in San Antonio and being the largest, closest city to the Valley you'd think we'd see ALL of those negative effects for illegal immigration here. But we don't, at least never to the degree which right wingers love to imagine in their nightmares. There is not a "migrant crime" wave and we have resources that are supported by federal funds to help address the needs of people that come across the border when they're allowed to stay. It's not perfect, it never is. But there was no need for Abbot to do what he did when those cities have absolutely no role in immigration policy. He's the governor of a border states who's biggest trading partner is on the other side of the border. If he doesn't have the ability to deal those challenges and push the congressional delegation from this state to find solutions without resorting to stunts, then maybe he shouldn't be governor. That is the job, after all.

Your own article says that even though there was an increase in migrants (and I think that is the wrong word because most of the people we are talking about were asylum seekers) there was zero increase in crime and no increase in illegal voting.

These people are supporting themselves - especially the undocumented ones. They are working. They aren’t claiming any government benefits. They try to avoid being discovered. They commit crimes at a lower rate than any other group in America.

The asylum seekers are generally here legally. They do qualify for some government benefits, and they are in the immigration system, working their way through the process. The people who were mistreated by GOP governors and tricked into being transported to cold climates without any resources or protection from the cold were mostly asylum seekers. They were complying with the law by and large. That you think mistreating them was “brilliant” is saying something extremely uncomplimentary about your moral code.

I find that most MAGA and conservatives who consume RW propaganda don’t know the difference. They just swallow propaganda whole from people who are just generally bigoted and want brown people to be mistreated.

A large number of actual undocumented people are folks who overstay or violate their student and tourist visas. Elon Musk was one of them. So was Melania Trump. No outrage about these folks, is there? That’s extremely telling.

And if Trump had not forced the MAGA house to vote against the border bill, they would have been detained while their claims were processed and deported in weeks. Most of the money in that bill was for detainment facilities and expedited processing of asylum claims.

There is simply no denial that the border situation improved after Biden reinstituted some Trump policies late in his term.
Immigrants, IMO, should be fully self-supporting. It used to be a thing here. Abbott did what he had to do because Biden was doing nothing. BTW, was it a 'stunt' when the Biden Admin. flew immigrants around the country?

Fantastic info, but did you think I claimed those things or something?

The images alleged to show immigrants being flown across the country were actually from federal prisoner transport operations by the Bureau of Prisons. These pictures have been repeatedly used by right-wing propaganda and consistently debunked each time they resurface.

I find people who make assumptions are often wrong.

Okay - you’re just a troll.
You could always just prove the claim, or is it too hard?
Calling me a troll because of your lack of facts and inability to prove your claim isn't my problem.
