This election nonsense by Trump may end up splitting up the Republican Party. I just don’t see how the one third (?) who are principled conservatives can stay in the same party with Trump sycophants who are willing to sign onto the TX Supreme Court case.

We also saw the alt right types chanting “destroy the GOP” in Washington today because they didn’t keep Trump in power. I think the Q types will also hold the same ill will toward the traditional Republican Party. In fact its quite possible that all the voters who are really in a Trump personality cult will also blame the GOP for his loss. It’s only a matter of time IMO before Trump himself gets around to blaming the GOP.

There is some discussion of this on Twitter. What do you all think?

So are Republican concession speeches just a thing of the past now?
    ==============================================

A Florida Republican who last Tuesday lost a congressional special election by a landslide in a heavily Democratic district has declined to concede the race, according to CBS Miami.

Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick — a Democrat who pledged to fight for $1,000 monthly checks for Americans and who backs progressive policies such as the Green New Deal and "Medicare for All" — easily defeated the Republican Jason Mariner in the race to succeed the Rep. Alcee Hastings, who died in April.

    With all precincts reporting, Cherfilus-McCormick defeated Mariner 78.7% to 19.6% in Florida's 20th District — a 59.1-percentage-point victory. She received 43,663 votes to her opponent's 10,883 votes.

But in a move reminiscent of former President Donald Trump, who continues to dispute his election loss to President Joe Biden, Mariner has made claims of irregularities in the South Florida district.

"Now they called the race — I did not win, so they say, but that does not mean that they lost either, it does not mean that we lost," the Republican told CBS after the race was called.

Before the polls closed for the special election, Mariner filed a lawsuit alleging ballot issues in Broward and Palm Beach counties, the two populous Democratic-leaning jurisdictions that anchor the district.............

It's a copy cat society we live in and despite their constant claims, Republicans are the least original group of people in America. So yes.

It's probably more of an attempt to get on Trump's radar since he's in Florida. He thinks if Trump sees it he'll reach out to him and get him more publicity.

And a job, since he's not gonna be a Congressman.
Of course, working for Trump often turns into pro-bono by surprise.

Livestream description: at noon CST at the above channel where he'll be responding to your questions about what’s happening now in the American system — about power, politics, and the real economy (and whatever else you might want to bring up).

McCarthy has gone into "don't fork with me" mode. He wants the gavel dammit.

Two more indications that Rs are becoming increasingly authoritarian:

Newt Gingrich opines on cable tv (with zero pushback from interviewer) that if Rs win back the House the members of the Jan 6 special committee may face jail time.

    And:

Further tweet on firing of above lawyer:

where have I seen this kind of stuff before?

In a Monday interview with the conservative radio host John Fredericks, Gov. Glenn Youngkin said parents could email the state government to report any public-school teachers they believed to be "behaving objectionably."

Youngkin said: "We're asking for folks to send us reports and observations that they have that will help us be aware of things like privilege bingo, be aware of their child being denied their rights that parents have in Virginia. And we're going to make sure we catalog it all.

"This gives us a great insight into what's happening at a school level, and that gives us further ability to make sure we're rooting it out."

I hope the independents who voted for Youngkin are feeling some sort of buyer’s remorse. He’s acting exactly according to the Trump playbook.

Republicans have jumped the shark in terms of governing. The propaganda programing on the right is tearing the fabric of this country apart. For years, they've starved education budgets and schools of funding all across this country. Now they've gone on an all out war to demonize and destroy teachers and educational institution at every level from elementary school all the way up through college and instill as much fear in them as possible.

While it's clear that the Republican party is doing this to have a culture war to anger their base and get them motivated to vote, one has to wonder what it is that those who are voting for republicans are after? Are they really voting to destroy this country from the inside out because that's what it sure feels like?

Saw a tweet in response to this earlier this morning. These morons act like there aren't black parents with kids in school all throughout the state. How about they get flooded with phone calls from angry black parents that their kids are being taught a whitewashed version of American history?

Haha Haha. My posts were quite lengthy and I have a unique posting style. Lots of dots .....😁 How could the word "fake" or "troll" be applicable? The Democratic President is a disaster and the Squad led left wingers are leading their less famous colleagues into sure losses this November. I said I was done....and I am. I just couldn't resist laughing at the thought that I potentially was fake.
The 2020 Election Was a Choice Between Freedom and Free Stuff. The Free Stuffers Don't Care About Character at All.

You're assuming that Democrat voters are rational. In other words, you imagine yourself in their position and think they would do what you would do if your Party had a confused leader and was being led astray by extremists. The Democrats, who are in the majority of those we foolishly allowed to vote, now and forevermore, are mostly America-hating immigrants, degenerate spoiled brats, and moochers. To get a realistic perspective, imagine yourself in one of those categories and you'll understand that they don't care about the sorry shape their Party is in as long as they get coddled by it.

    Looks like a good place

But when representation in the government is so thoroughly manipulated, neither of those things are possible and you end up with a banana republic.
Representation Is a Re-Presentation of All Previous Elitist Tyranny

All republics go bananas. Freedom only comes from national referendums, never from a one-time choice of which pre-owned candidate will do all our voting for us, the people, on the issues that affect us most.

We're living in the twilight zone, right? Somebody please tell me we are, because this level of projection is beyond comprehension.
