This election nonsense by Trump may end up splitting up the Republican Party. I just don’t see how the one third (?) who are principled conservatives can stay in the same party with Trump sycophants who are willing to sign onto the TX Supreme Court case.

We also saw the alt right types chanting “destroy the GOP” in Washington today because they didn’t keep Trump in power. I think the Q types will also hold the same ill will toward the traditional Republican Party. In fact its quite possible that all the voters who are really in a Trump personality cult will also blame the GOP for his loss. It’s only a matter of time IMO before Trump himself gets around to blaming the GOP.

There is some discussion of this on Twitter. What do you all think?

The outrage machine operates on both sides of the political spectrum, but it seems to be especially detached from reality and malignant from the GOP. An interesting observation from a new representative.

This needs to be on a loop on every news outlet. And if you gotta hack Faux News/Newsmax to do it, then do it.

Its a @#$@#$#@$ charade. MTGs/GymJordans/etc -all their angst is a charade- a game- played at the expense of democracy.

I don’t know. I agreed that much is theatre. McCarthy is completely acting because I think he lacks the brains to actually concoct policy. Empty Greene, Boebert and Gym Jordan I think are completely and utterly full of schlitz and buried in white grievance thus their anger is real at least in their so-called minds.

Yep, and totally without regard for the consequences to the people who buy into the fake outrage and the lies. I don’t think there are very many representatives who actually believed the election lies. There are real people who did believe the lies about the election and are going to jail, and while they absolutely should have known better, they were conned. They were victims of a huge con job by Trump, RW media and the GOP. And even today, the con men and women in the GOP won’t tell the truth.

Anyone else see the irony in this statement?

Republicans and showing who they truly are on a daily basis. They're for big business until it benefits them to be against big business. They are "pro life" until it benefits them to be pro choice. They are pro family values until it benefits them to be against family values (looking at you Tennessee). Slowly but surely, Republicans are showing exactly how un-American and uneducated on what it really means to be an American citizen that respects the constitution. They are the party of lies and racists. It's really curious that the leading republican supporters have gone silent here since the country has started getting daily reminder of who republicans really are and what they represent.

Not a peep from Mcarthy, MTG et al about ANY of the recent shootings. They keeping quiet and hoping/waiting for an incident that they can jump on to change the narrative.

Workers Comp carriers are meeting today to discuss how to cancel/surcharge policies of clients that indeed hire 14-16 yr olds.

Congrats Iowa, you just killed the Work Comp market in your state.

    Ready
    FIRE!
    Aim.

    sheesh...
I remember back in the day when Louisiana resisted changing the drinking age to 21 from 18 and only did it when the federal government threatened to withhold federal highway money as a result. Passing a law that allows 16-17 year olds to serve alcohol seems to me to be inviting the same thing for Iowa. The federal government should withhold those corn subsidies and any other federal funds until that law is abolished. Let's see how Iowa survives without living off the teats of the federal government.
