    The football board had the very useful Daily Trump Tracker thread, which was a good place to briefly discuss the latest ridiculous thing that might have ended 97% of prior Presidential administrations even if it didn't necessarily justify an entire thread devoted to it in 2017-2019 (because of the sheer volume of these things). Since I don't see anything like that here already, I'll add one myself.

Early on there were “establishment Rs” holding the line, i.e. Sessions, Priebus, Coats, etc. Trump purged these types over mostly the first 2 years and has the highest turnover rate of the last 5 presidents. Purged Rs were replaced with far right loyalists with varying levels of experience like Barr, Meadows, Ratcliff. These would go further than the previous group but their experience will not take them as far as Trump wants. If re-elected, I think Trump will have a 2nd purge. Trump will seek the incompetently faithful who will give in fully to his authoritarian wishes.

    I agree there were some who took posts in homes to "mitigate" overall damage. But quickly learned that POTUS is not interested in avoiding collateral damage in any way.

    there will be no 2nd term.

    And all those administration members will have plenty of time to self-reflect on the last 4 years. Unless they get a gig at Fox News. lol

    What I don't understand is why Trump is going through Barr in the first place.

    He can have random protester dude in Portland abducted into an unmarked van. Why not Biden? I mean, Harris is black, the SS would be happy to just shoot her.

    In 2016 Trump and Co said "look at all the complaining because I won".
