    The football board had the very useful Daily Trump Tracker thread, which was a good place to briefly discuss the latest ridiculous thing that might have ended 97% of prior Presidential administrations even if it didn't necessarily justify an entire thread devoted to it in 2017-2019 (because of the sheer volume of these things). Since I don't see anything like that here already, I'll add one myself.

    Maybe he really is broke. 🤔

    I posited on another thread- he aint broke.

    He got what he wanted from that initial investment of $66mm. The writing is on the wall for 2020.

    If you bought a stock in 2016 and it gave you 100% return, and you KNOW its about to tank, you dont buy more.

    for what it's worth
    =====================

    Only two major American newspapers have endorsed President Donald Trump for reelection, far below the dozens of publications that have announced their support for Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

    The major outlets in favor of Trump are the Las Vegas Review-Journal and the Arkansas Democrat Gazette.

    "For all his flaws, Donald J. Trump stands in forceful contrast to the relentless progressive attacks on this nation that deny and minimize the advances we have made over the decades to better reflect and honor our founding ideals," the Las Vegas Review-Journal's editorial board wrote. "He deserves a second term."

    The Las Vegas Review-Journal — owned by billionaire Sheldon Adelson, a GOP mega-donor and casino magnate who has poured millions into Trump's reelection effort — had also endorsed Trump back in 2016................

    I love these type of arguments about "our founding ideals." Like slavery and women not being able to vote? The obvious horrible ones aside, I don't get why people think some of the others are worth preserving versus modern sensibilities. Well, I mean... I know why, but still...

    You may very well be correct. I think he got a handsome return on the $66 million investment over the past 4 years, and that is before you calculate the “value of the brand” return on investment.

    Sam Elliot commercial causing a stir
    ===========================

    (KMOX) - The actor known for his roles in "Road House," "The Big Lebowski, " and "A Star is Born" lent his voice to presidential candidate Joe Biden for a political ad that aired during Game 1 of the World Series on Tuesday night. Then Sam Elliott became the top trending topic on Twitter.

    You can watch the ad at the top of this page, which is titled "Go From There."

    "No Democratic rivers, no Republican mountains, just this great land and all that's possible on it with a fresh start," Elliott says in the video. "Cures we can find, futures we can shape, work to reward, dignity to protect."

    It brought out some very passionate reactions on Twitter - from both sides of the political spectrum. It seemed many people thought Elliott leaned more Republican than Democrat, possibly because of the conservative character on "The Ranch" and the often right-leaning memes that "The Stranger" character he plays in "The Big Lebowski" is featured in...............

    For all we know, Sam might be an actual Conservative. As opposed to whatever kind of reactionary quasi-anarchist a Trumplican is.

    This offensive he's launching against Fauci ever since Fauci said he was taken out of context in Trump's ad shows how small of a person Trump is. His toddler-like feelings were so hurt by Fauci that he is willing to completely torpedo himself with anyone with even a passing respect for science.

    I wouldn't let this dude run a corner convenience store, much less a country.

    Looks like his debate handlers may have gotten thru to him for tonite.

    look for a much more subdued and pacified Trump. You wont hear the outbursts but you will damn sure see the facial expressions. That they cannot stop.

    I'll give you until 8:59pm EDT today to revise this bold prediction.

    LOL.

    well regardless, its a win/win for Biden.

    If Trump is subdued, then he doesnt bring the energy he normally exhibits and looks flat and uninspired.

    If he interrupts, he only confirms the first debate and his inability to control his temperament.

    ( oh and his mic will be muted lol )

    I think this is true. It's a significant blunder by Trump to be digging for scraps like the senior "Trump Card" ($200 for prescriptions) when he should have been dogging McConnell to get a new stimulus package out so that he could claim it in the election.

    The power of positive thinking has him aiming for this going way or working out on its own. I think that thought is in the way.

    This is why he's not an effective leader for government.
