    I guess it's time to start a thread for this. We know that at least 140 members of Congress have pledged to join the objection. Under federal law, if at least one member of each house (HOR and Senate) objects, each house will adjourn the joint session for their own session (limited at two hours) to take up the objection. If both houses pass a resolution objecting to the EC result, further action can take place. If both houses do not (i.e. if one or neither passes a resolution), the objection is powerless and the college result is certified.

    Clearly this is political theater as we know such a resolution will not pass the House, and there's good reason to think it wouldn't pass the Senate either (with or without the two senators from Georgia). The January 6 joint session is traditionally a ceremonial one. This one will not be.

    Many traditional pillars of Republican support have condemned the plan as futile and damaging. Certainly the Trump loyalists don't care - and many are likely doing it for fundraising purposes or to carry weight with the fraction of their constituencies that think this is a good idea.

    "I owe you all an apology. I have likely imposed on you my lifetime passions," she said in an email obtained by The Washington Post.

    The email was sent to a listserv called Thomas Clerk World, which includes her husband's former court staff from his three decades on the court, according to the Washington Post.

    Ginni Thomas - whose full name is Virginia - had posted on Facebook her support for the "Stop the Steal" rally held in Washington, DC, on January 6 that morphed into the insurrection that left five people dead.

    "My passions and beliefs are likely shared with the bulk of you, but certainly not all. And sometimes the smallest matters can divide loved ones for too long," Thomas said in the email obtained by The Washington Post. "Let's pledge to not let politics divide THIS family, and learn to speak more gently and knowingly across the divide.".......................

    Yeah, the one guy just straight up read their legal statement regarding any mention of voter fraud before he got up and exited stage right.

    To keep it in the appropriate realm...it should be scientific proof that the noise a mypillow makes causes cancer.

    But Powell, fixing on Trump, continued to elaborate on a fantastical election narrative involving Venezuela, Iran, China and others. She named a county in Georgia where she claimed she could prove that Dominion had illegally flipped the vote.

    Herschmann interrupted to point out that Trump had actually won the Georgia county in question: "So your theory is that Dominion intentionally flipped the votes so we could win that county?"
