Oh, but he's only joking - well, maybe, so they say. Or sort of joking with Canada, and maybe not joking with Greenland - saying that "ownership and control of Greenland is an absolute necessity" doesn't sound like a joke . . . and um, not sure about what the about Panama Canal thing is?

Man child want Greenland because he says so and we need it just ‘cause.

What a goofy time to be living in.

Someone has been feeding him this

The "Greenland Right-Wing Billionaire Paradise" theory refers to speculative ideas suggesting that Greenland, with its vast land, rich natural resources, and strategic Arctic location, could be transformed into a libertarian or billionaire haven under the right circumstances. While not a mainstream or widely accepted theory, it has been floated in discussions about ultra-wealthy individuals seeking tax havens, independent enclaves, or strategic geopolitical investments.

Right-wing libertarian circles sometimes discuss the idea of creating autonomous territories with minimal government interference. Similar to seasteading projects or "charter city" ideas in places like Honduras, some believe Greenland could become an experimental libertarian enclave with low taxes, private governance, and billionaire-funded infrastructure.

What began as a joke by a comedian quickly turned into speculation about how Canadacould mount a powerful protest against the U.S. over President Donald Trump’s takover hopes.

Not with its own retaliatory tariffs, or shutting down every branch of Tim Horton’s and Lululemon in the U.S. — but by banning access to the Canadian-owned adult entertainment website Pornhub.

“If Canada could ban Pornhub in the States, we win the trade war. That’s it. There is no trade war,” Toronto-based comedian Matthew Puzhitsky joked to the New York Post earlier this month, referring to it as “Canada’s nuke.”

The idea behind the viral video got people talking. With Trump’s reciprocal trade tariffscoming down the track on April 2, speculation grew on social media whether Canada could actually retaliate by blocking the most visited site in the U.S…….

Translation of the underlying article. If anything, Trump & Co. have managed to achieve in Greenland what they did in Canada—uniting people across the political spectrum.

Greenland is set to have a unity government—a government that strikingly resembles the Danish SVM government: a majority coalition spanning the political center, born in the midst of and as a result of a serious crisis. In many ways, this government is Greenland’s answer to Donald Trump & Co.

In Copenhagen, one can almost hear a sigh of relief echoing through the ministries. There is now a formal government and cooperation partner in Nuuk. From a Danish perspective, this means the Kingdom of Denmark is optimally prepared to handle U.S. demands for control and ownership.

One story that has not hit the international press yet is the fact that EVERY hotel in Nuuk refused bookings from the US delegation leaving them with staying at the US base as the only option ;)
They better get used to staying in U.S. Base billeting when they are traveling outside the US!

No one wants to talk to Usha Vance—at least no one in Greenland.

US officials have reportedly been traveling around the Danish-controlled territory looking for locals who wanted to receive a visit from the Second Lady, according to a report from Danish TV 2.

    Greenlanders' response? No thanks.

Residents aren't the only ones snubbing the Second Lady ahead of her high-profile visit to the island; Tupilak Travel, which is based in Greenland's capital city, Nuuk, initially said it would host Usha Vance, but pulled out on Thursday.

In a post on Facebook, the company said that the US Consulate called and asked if it wanted the visit, and the company initially said yes, but then backed out.

“After closer consideration, however, we have now informed the consulate that we do not want her visit, as we cannot accept the underlying agenda and will not be part of the press show that, quite, of course, comes with it. No thanks to nice visit… Greenland belongs to the Greenlanders," the company said.……

Vice President JD Vance and Second Lady Usha Vance are proud to visit the Pituffik Space Base in Greenland this Friday,” said Taylor Van Kirk, Vance’s press secretary. “As the Vice President has said, previous US leaders have neglected Arctic security, while Greenland’s Danish rulers have neglected their security obligations to the island. The security of Greenland is critical in ensuring the security of the rest of the world, and the Vice President looks forward to learning more about the island.

Hypocrisy is the name of the game, as Greenland’s greatest threat comes not from an enemy, but from a nation it has long considered a friend—the United States. The U.S. is fatally ill, suffering from a disease that may take years to cure—if it survives at all.

Much like vaccine denier RFK Jr., the U.S. has spent decades refusing to “immunize” itself against hatred, violence, and misinformation. It has neglected the most effective vaccine of all—education and enlightenment.
