Yeah, I think there's a chance that there are still some adults in the room at the Senate - and Thune being chosen as majority leader may be a signal (it's anonymous voting) that it's not going to be purely deferential. I think there's a tradition of deference but some of these are very unserious nominations for very serious positions.

At least with respect to Gaetz and Hegseth, there may be some meaningful unwillingness at the Senate. And still quite a few cabinet posts left to name.

This is the first time since he was elected I got a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach about this country's future. I expected him to be elected, I suspected a sub-standard cabinet because nobody worth anything would work for him.

I didn't expect us to turn the DOJ over to a circus clown child trafficking conspiracy theorist.
